So... my mum was fired today
Im a 13 year old on ps3 and ny mum was fired today. Since my parents got divorced weve been having "financial issues".
I was thinking of asking for the rest of the money needed to upgrade to ps4 for christmas but cant anymore. I just wanted to play with all my friends and i think my ps3 got laggier since 2.0 it might be because of more content or it could be coincidence.
Anyway, what i mean is are there any reasonable ways for a 13 yo to earn money?

7 RespuestasSince you weren't a fag and didn't ask for money I respect that. But, you are 13 in the middle of a divorce. Video games should be the least of your worries. Focus on trying to do well in school and remain mentally healthy.

1 RespuestaEditado por Cool-Caution: 9/30/2015 12:48:08 PMI know u are only 13, but do you relay need a ps4 if your PS3 is still working. ask your dad, grandparents and so on. to put in what $10-20 each for your Xmass use money to help your mum out. you are still able to play the game at the moment on your PS3. also there is little jobs around the place, Rake leaves, paint fences, wash cars, paper rounds (if this is still a think). also tell your mum to buy own brand food (e.g Supermarket own brand food rather then branded food. alot of the stuff that supermarkets make are made in the same factory as the branded stuff)

2 RespuestasYou have to quit school, get your GED, and get a job. You might be too young at 13 so your mom will have to get you emancipated which makes you a legal "adult" if you say. Then you join the military because they have a great benefits and will pay you and even help with college eventhough you have no idea what highschool is like. You will already be ahead of the game. The "war" in Iraq might be over, but they need to send people overseas anyways to "patrol" what's left. That's ok though because you will get free room and board and meals so you can take your 2 week paycheck they give you and send them to your mom. And because you are helping her out and serving your country that hopefully after being in Iraq and shooting some ragheads, some of which your age as well because they quit school to get a job and help their families and joined the war, you come home to a spankin new PS4!! And if she doesn't get you one, well, then use your PTSD and shoot her in the face! [spoiler]Or you can get a paper route[/spoiler]

1 RespuestaJust please don't ask your mum for the rest of the money, she lost her job she doesn't need to be forking out money for your game consols which really isn't something you need, ps4 is still going to be around, just save whatever money you can earn, and save it for January Sales :) yes my game has become laggy on PS3 aswell since the update but just get on it with, you'll still need to pay a load for the game and dlc anyway onto of getting a ps4.

Guys, hes not asking anyone to buy TTK for him, hes doing what has been said before to 'get a job' and is trying to. Hes asking for information, not money. OP, when i was trying to find ways to earn money, i grab a rake or snow shovel (depending on the time of year), grab a friend, and walk around the neighborhood knockin on people's doors saying we will rake/shovel your lawn/porch for X money (put in however much you think is fair, usually between 5-20$) Within about 2-3 hours we made a total of about 60 bucks, split that and you got about 10$ an hour

2 RespuestasYou have to be careful where you open your heart to advice. This forum has some nice people, but there are some real jerks here. Sometimes I'm one of them. But in this moment, please consider some well-intentioned advice. There are people like your mother and teachers at school (church?) that have dedicated their lives to helping you overcome challenges and make good decisions. You should turn to them for honest advice with your best interests in mind. Your mom is going through a very difficult time, as are you. She needs you right now. I would suggest asking her how you can help her right now, and be there for you. No parent wants to burden their child with adult problems, but just the offer will mean so much. If she [i]does[/i] take you up on the offer, she must really need your help and you should give it freely with love. The PlayStation 4 will come, and your friends will understand and welcome you whenever that happens. You're hitting that age where part time jobs start showing up in stores and restaurants. You'll get through everything and the good things will come, just focus on your family and school as they are the foundation of everything else you'll want. Seek out those positive caring people in your life and focus on the advice they give. Take care, and shine bright, Guardian. :)

Since autumn is the current season the leaves, depending on the trees in your area, will fall so you can rake leaves for aforementioned folks. You could see if any establishments in your town or city have job offerings for people of 13 years of age. That's all I've got, but there are probably more depending on where you live. Good luck and I hope you can achieve your goal.

Depending on what country you live may determine what work you can do, I'd start locally by doing odd jobs within your community, play to your strengths, whichever season is happening at the moment use it, if it's snow then shovel it, if it's summer, garden chores, if it's wet and muddy car wash, If there's local businesses and you are allowed to work then create an a4 or a3 sized advert to hand to them and the local people, create an email specifically for this task which can be deleted later if needed, Everything on the flyer or hand out is going to be positive, I can do this, I'm willing to do that, I'm quick to learn, Keep a positive belief that things will get better, as they undoubtedly will, Pennies and cents suddenly become pounds and dollars, Don't just think I only got a small amount for doing that, think I got an amount and I gained experience and good publicity, Don't price yourself high, be fair and smash the hell out of it,

There's A LOT of stupid people posting here...so first off I want to say I'm sorry. This community often fights and complains about stupid stuff but most of it relates to the game itself...I can overlook a lot of that. But to come in here and disrespect you or your family and your situation is just uncalled for. The internet is just a reflection of the real world and it is a messed up place...so again, sorry for all the stupid comments made by immature and insensitive idiots. I hope you can sift through that and find some good advice and understanding for what you and your family are going through. Many already said it but mowing laws or doing similar work for your neighbors is a great way to make some money. Not sure where you live but fall cleanup can be a busy time if you live in an area where a lot of people are cleaning up leaves falling from their trees. I agree that it's important to help your family any way you can or at least offer. Just remember that you are young so it's ok to want to have fun and enjoy playing games with your friends, you shouldn't have to man up and forget about getting a new system and just being a kid and having fun. I'm sure things will get better and one way or another you'll get a PS4.
