Nightfall incentive?
So, with the Nightfall 2.0 now firmly established, it's starting to become apparent that it's an activity of, shall we say, less importance than it used to be. No overall experience buff, the rewards are worse than any one Heroic strike (a bunch of 264 blues, a rune, a mote of light) and overall it's just a pretty underwhelming activity. So, what's the incentive for doing it, in all honesty? The challenge? What do you guys think?
Edit: this week's bounty for me: 1) blues, a rune, one mote of light. 2) blues, an exotic I already had five of. 3) blues, a couple of three of coins, one strange coin. Whoop dee do.

Both my night falls last week I got weak ass legendary boots.. Lower than what I already had. So.... A total of 6 legendary marks. SWEET.

Last week I got my first monte carlo. Today i got a next big thing at 272. Im 291-294 (Depends on weapons) and have my op noob shotgun anyway. So its rng. I will always do nightfall, i love a good gamble. But if we only get 20 vanguard rep and mostly trash rewards then I will patrol cosmodrome using 3oc on champions and completing missions for rep. Got two exotics that way, post nerf!

Tbh idc about the buff because i never even knew there was one. I just think they really dumbed the rewards down. You used to have a pretty high chance at an exotic or at least a decent gun. Now its just duplicates and coins for days

Do the nightfalls and you can't complain that you're not being given the chance for something really good. That being said, other than a duplicate Suros which I bought, I've also yet to get anything of worth.

Getting strange coins 2 weeks in a row on each character is great incentive.....

They really aren't as good anymore. Not that much incentive other than the marks which is very sad. I used to do it for the buff, exotic, and Rep. But say good bye to all that now.

Night falls are pointless now. I'm tired of the stupid arse legendaries that are worse than boss drops themselves. It's like NFs are completely useless compared to Heroic.

I like to do strikes with a burn on them, if anything good drops that makes it better. So far i've only got strange coins and pretty bad legendaries, and a set of coin of three out of them. Two more to go this week, i think it's better this way that you won't miss out on anything if you don't get the Nightfalls done first.

I ran the nightfall twice last week, got exotics both times. That's incentive enough for me.

Agreed nightfall now sucks. I got an exotic helm I already had two of IN MY INVENTORY on my Titan last week. No XP boost and dumb loot makes this a waste of time.

I just think it sucks now since about half of the exotics are acquired through yet unknown circumstances so they won't be loot

But yeah 3 of coins and no rep bonus coupled with the faff of no matchmaking has pretty much rendered them 99% pointless imo.

They nerfed the -blam!- out of any kind of reputation gain in this game, and then, they take away reputation increase for completing nightfalls. Bunch of -blam!-in bitches.

See this is what grinds my gears. Bungie had the nightfall already perfect, why go ahead and change what's already working. All game companies do this to and it makes no sense.
