Luke Smith's interview:
"Reforging is going to come back in some form or another."

Hell yes!!!
It'll be ideal if they bring reforging back BEFORE the next ToO - that way, the playing field will be more balanced.
I'm already seeing quite a few people getting snipers with Hidden Hand, shotguns with reinforced barrel + shot package, Rockets with tripod and grenades and horseshoes, etc....... And many other legendaries with all the right perks for a PvP advantage.
If they don't bring reforging back sooner, then those lucky snowflakes will have a slew of advantages in PvP activities like Iron Banner and ToO. Reforging must come back - FAST!!!!
I hope that they make reforging different than before, especially when it comes to getting the same crappy rolls over and over again.
When I got my first Ash Factory, it took me a total of 79x reforges until I got one with Tripod + Grenades and Horseshoes. And........ I did not stop there, I continued reforging because it did not have Javelin in the middle column.
All and all, it took my around 130 something reforges until I got my first Ash Factory with Tripod + Grenades and Horseshoes + Javelin.
I don't need to explain why a Ash Factory (or Radgast) with that roll is a beast in all PvP activities.
I've seen Ash Factories just straight up stop with those perks on them. If it wasn't for reforging, then those few lucky snowflakes would have been the only ones with "god tier" rocket launchers.
Reforging is what balanced the playing field, and made so that the lucky snowflakes didn't have too great of an advantage.

Reforging didn't balance the playing field, unless you consider everyone constantly reforging until everyone had god-tier perks, then I guess yes.

Gonna cost legendary marks lemme guess

Editado por SpongyMallard7: 10/1/2015 12:35:15 AMThey should make some perks only able to get via RNG *cough*...*cough*...Shotpackage...*cough*
-
It'd be nice if could buy weapon parts with marks or something.

4 RespuestasReforging would kill TTK
-
6 RespuestasPersonally, kill them all and let RNG sort it out! If you get a weapon with 1 or 2 of the perks you like but not a third, deal with it. Or discard it and go for another. More fun that way.
-
2 RespuestasI hope it doesn't, I'm praying it doesn't.
-
Luke Smith was also, more recently, quoted saying it's NOT coming back. Don't get your hopes up.
-
1 RespuestaJust got a rocket launcher with triple tube & grenades and horseshoes

5 RespuestasReforming is what made pvp boring. Everyone using he exact same stuff. It encourages people to only go for one style of play, which cuts off a chance for something new and cool to develop. Reforging was a horrible idea. Although I didn't entirely mind it in iron banner gear, but only when it was an iron banner exclusive.
-
1 RespuestaReforging was a stupid move, that's why they removed it. I hope they don't bring it back. Grind for your "perfect" rolls or learn to play with what you have and stop being a scrub.

14 RespuestasWould love for it to come back. I'm good in the crucible with just about any stock weapons. My goto combo changed for just about every map. No clan and I pretty much solo everything I can get away with, so having no backup has taught me to be adaptable. Also, I don't play hours everyday; I just play a lot on the weekends and occasional weeknights. That being said, I want my guns the way I like them. Destiny is already a grind-fest for everything else...what, on G-d's green earth, would anyone want to add more grinding to it? The problems in The Crucible isn't/wasn't re-rolling weapons for the perfect fit, it's weapons balancing and map design. Felwinter/Party Crasher/Matador were going to wreck no matter what. If they didn't have shot package and field choke, were you going to start using a fusion rifle all the time?? No. You weren't. If your play-style was running hand-cannon and shotty, then that's pretty much what you are going to do. If that's the best effective kill combo in the crucible, then most are going to start using it. It is ease of use and stats, not the perks, that ultimately decide what's most commonly used. Besides, the Felwinter/Etc fiasco was only made worse by Bungie's decision to reduce special ammo in The Crucible, anyway. You can't effectively use a high ROF shotty, unless you're camping every special drop...so everyone shifts to the high-impact shotty's. Same with the sniper rifles. Lack of ammo make people roll for the greatest possible impact (Effrideet one-body-shot-kill anyone?) Thus, Bungie created it's own monster with that. Same scenario with the Thorncrutch. A single gun, given specs WAAAAY above what it should have been, and then they just left it that way for the better part of a year. I believe that secretly, most of their devs were obsessed with the Thorncrutch and couldn't bring themselves to use a different weapon. If your KDR suddenly spiked after getting Thorn, you didn't get better, you just got better gear (translation: you still suck, except now you tell everyone else to "Git Gud.") (NOTE: I have Thorn,, I've used Thorn, and I still hate Thorn.) There's already too much to do in the game to add weapon grinding to it. Actually wanting the current RNG for your weapons is pathetic. How many people played every single day and NEVER got a Gally, even if they played since the Beta? I got five, and I usually just play on the weekend. Re-rolling for the right perk just nudge a weapons abilities a bit more. The fact that just about everyone ran with the same combo of weapons is bad balance of base weapons and layout of maps, not re-rolling for perks. There's enough RNG in the game already. Make a kiosk to custom build a weapon and charge 300 legendary marks, 150 motes of light, fifty strange coins, and two Etheric Light along with the head of a Gate Lord, but for G-d's sake, let the people be able to actually CUSTOMIZE SOMETHING! I want to enjoy the quests, the competitions, and the raids. No one enjoys grinding. Want people to use a greater variety of weapons? Give a better variety. Looks like they're trying to do that with TTK. The only people who fear re-rolling most likely sucked in The Crucible to begin with.

2 RespuestasSnowflakes...?

1 RespuestaDon't know why people think this is good to have in the game. You know why shotguns were a huge problem in the Crucible? You get a Matador and put maybe 100 motes into it and voila, a perfect roll.
-
Hope not.
-
1 RespuestaReforging broke the game. If it does return it will definitely not look the same.
-
2 RespuestasNo. Reforging is for scrubs.
-
I shall believe it when I see it. Not before.
-
It is already here.
-
Uh no, not awesome. It allowed everyone to get the exact perks they wanted as long as they had materials. I think the randomness of perks is what makes destiny fun, and especially crucible cuz it means that some perks are great but if you can get the less-than-perfect roll weapons and still win it shows more skill
-
8 RespuestasThat sucks, reforging ruins the game. Ruins the Hunt for weapons and negates unique perks on weapons making variety in loadouts. Horrible decision if they re implement it.
-
15 RespuestasI have an idea Make it so when you infuse one gun into another that you can chose which perks you want from the 2 guns.
-
Reforging sucks
