In the beginning, there was Golden Gun, Fist of Havoc, and the Nova Bomb. Each were hated to such a degree that guardians complained and called nerf for these powers of the light. These "nerfs" never came, for the Luke of Smiths did not see us as people, but sheep, thence never coming to their aid. After many battles and throwing money at the screen, there came new, more powerful supers, powerful in a new but balanced demeanor. Emperor Palpatine, MC Thor, and Katniss Everdeen descended upon the world of Destiny.
MC Thor came to be the coolest, for his sweet dance moves and powerful hammer lured many to his side. The Everdeens and Palpatines saw MC Thor to be a threat to their "class societies" and called upon Luke of Smiths to nerf MC Thor. Luke of Smiths, and I disagree with the Everdeens and Palpatines. All the Palpatines want is MORE POWAAAA.
Enough with the small talk. Here's reasons why I believe and behold to you reasons why Sunbreakers are just as balanced as other classes.
• Storm callers take two hammers to kill
-storm callers have blink, which if they're skilled, will dodge every single hammer you throw at em' and still stay in range to kill you
• Gunslingers one-shot sunbreakers
- golden gun is hitscan, whilst hammer of sol is not.
-golden gun is much more versatile than hammer of sol, considering it has a lot more range and is a straight shot
• Nightstalker cancels all supers
-if you hear a hammer of sol activated, just shoot a shadow shot on the ground and they'll just walk into it
-shadow shot is almost an instant release
-shadow shot has an outrageous trap range
-shadow shot allows precision damage on every place on a guardian
-shadow shot takes almost all of the health of a sunbreaker and cancels any hammers in mid-flight
• With unstoppable, Striker titans can take a whopping three hammers!
-if you're skilled, you'll know how to get close to a sunbreaker in their back
-good timing jumping around cover with death from above will turn a sunbreaker into arc energy
-fist of havoc is almost in instant smash
-fist of havoc kills a sun breaker with one shot
• Sunsingers, admittedly, have no place against sunbreakers.
• Voidwalkers take two hammers to kill
-nova bomb is not instant, but deals a huge amount of damage
-with the perk that boosts the explosion radius, you can miss by a long shot and still kill a sunbreaker
-Voidwalkers can blink and use nova bomb at the same time
• With skill, you can absolutely destroy sunbreakers with blade dancer
-while in blade dance, you are highly agile and can blink while using it
-if you use your lunges to sidestep hammers, you can get close enough
-blade dancers take two hammers to kill
-During my first ever hammer of sol, I was humiliated by a skilled blade dancer using this same strategy I just have you.
All classes are more balanced than you'd think, and you and many other people complaining about other classes prove to Bungie just how well they're balanced. Everyone thinks some different class is overpowered (even though they're not), and that's a good thing.
Edit: Many people are saying that a golden gun shot will not kill a Sunbreaker. In fact, they will. If you roll with a low armour stat, a GG shot will most definitely one shot a sun breaker. If you get one-shot by a hammer of Sol, it means you are running a low armour stat, and should definitely increase that stat if a class makes you salty. Maybe run a chest piece with "more armor when using XY type of subclass", they help tremendously.

Funny. I got supered out of my nova bomb by 1 hammer.
-
Shut up. You're a coin. I will not be told how to live by a damn coin.
-
Editado por Varlerie: 10/22/2015 3:42:58 PMNo, storm callers get one shot. I run max armor.
-
Amen my brother
-
Why doesn't my shadowshot (direct hit) stop supers then?
-
It does. You can shoot a sunbreaker a and it will take most of its health down and cancel it's super. If it didn't, it was probably just lag.
-
This is mostly wrong.
-
I've been one hit at full health with blade dancer many times so that's bullsh!t
-
It also depends on your armour. If you are killed with one shot, I suggest you boost your armour if you're salty.
-
Aiint salty bruh, just stating what has
-
Gunslingers do not 1 shot Hammer time.
-
If the Titan has low armour, a GG will one shot a Titan.
-
a GG is supposed to kill you regardless of armor. Thats why they nerfed the Warlock's Ram exotic. It would outlast supers in PvP. If a titan can do that, they're broken.
-
considering i have video of me last night being 1 shot in stormcaller mode with 1 hammer, i call BS.
-
Extra armor while using arc based class can roll on chest piece and if you max out armor you could probably survive a hammer while your super is up.
-
Good to know, thanks. Then again why the hell did they nerf the warlocks extra armor from the Ram exotic if they have the same thing now in generic armor. I dont know how these guys think anymore.
-
Think about if they didn't nerf the ram the potential armor you could get.
-
Dont think it stacks. Armor bonuses never stack, or should say, have never. otherwise everyone would have 10 rockets in ammo, or 3 grenades when spawning in pvp matches.
-
Only the chest rolls with increased armor when using(insert element) based class, but yes you are right about armor perks not stacking.
-
Just pointing out that it takes 2 golden gun shots to kill a sunbreaker
-
Depending on their armour.
-
Agree we everything you said though i just read the first paragraph.
-
So true A No skilled Sunbreaker < any other skilled super user But A semi skilled Sunbreaker > every other super
-
No, not true.
-
I am not sure I agree with your vagueness a no skill Sunbreaker can in fact be beaten by a very skilled player using another super.
