My time with destiny has come to an end
With deep regrets I am planning to stop playing destiny. The reason for my choice is the taken king.
I didn't want to buy ttk because I bought all the other dlc and when a next dlc launched, all the crucible maps from the past dlc were free for everyone. Now it is the same thing. All the crucible maps from house of wolves are now free for everyone, even if they didn't buy a dlc. I feel robbed now.
I can't even level up now because I don't own ttk. I can't get any (legendary) gear or weapons from the vendors because you need ttk for that.
Watch and see, in about 4 months, when the next dlc launches, all ttk crucible maps will be free for everyone.
I can't do anything now in destiny, yeah playing lvl 20 strikes, 3 crucible gamemodes, but no gear, no weapons etc etc..
I am very disappointed in bungie. I bought a ps4 to play destiny, I was very excited after the e3 trailer a couple of years ago. But bungie ruined it all now :(
I don't want any new armour or weapons, I just want de damn weapons and armour I could buy since day 1. Now all those weapons and armour are replaced with ttk armour and weapons. This game feels not complete now. I am very disappointed in bungie. I loved destiny.
Edit: I recently bought the taken king :) you guys convinced me to buy it and I love it!
But I think that the people who didn't buy ttk have less content than they had on day one and that's not nice imo. F.e.: on september 14th they had nightfall etc and on september 15th they couldn't do the nightfall anymore.
But ttk is awesome and I recommend it to anyone !

If you loved destiny, then buy ttk. Simple as that. If you really love the game then $40 is nothing.

If you are done with the game so be it but I would recommend getting TTK, I have been having loads of fun.

Then like most videogames, you are done. When I finish Halo or Final Fantasy, I'm done. There isn't any more endgame content. This is an ever evolving game. I wish you could keep up. It's a heckuva good time.

You'd think if they were adding new more powerful weapons that they'd keep the old ones for new players that wanted to play old content. It's just extortion tobexpect them to buy all the DLC just to get weapons for old content.

I'm getting it today , so I don't really care that all the other stuff is free , I bought both collectors editions and haven't looked back . It's all about how you perceive game time , for me I work therefore cash is easy . Don't feel mad , get over it and buy or don't , either way no one will care

I feel for you, but you are in the minority. My friends playing have tripled since TTK. The tower is crowded these days. I for one am happy that they are releasing new content at such a nice pace. TTK is almost like getting Destiny 2 for only $40. The new content is pretty good and I'm really happy with the new quest system. Would it be more reasonable if they just charged $10 per month and released the new content for free? I assume up keeping the game costs Bungie a LOT, they have to keep the money coming in.

Then accept that change is the nature of all things. Sometimes you love it, sometimes not. Doesn't change it one whit, things change. If you truly love playing, then the matter fixes itself. If not, I sincerely hope you find some other game to play and love. Try WoW for a decade and you'll see everything you know and love burn and wipe. I keep coming back because of the feeling of a shared experience. It's the people, not the set pieces. Best of luck, friend.
