No one is getting robbed. The PvP maps from TDB/HoW are still going to be in the game, Crota's End and PoE is still going to be in the game, TDB/HoW quest are still in the game. So no you're not getting robbed.

 • That's great that you have such an optimistic outlook. I hope you enjoy that disposition. However the people that are voicing their concerns and resentments are the reason that you don't get completely exploited as the forgiving and naive consumer that you are. You don't have to agree but being respectful of their view point and somewhat appreciative isn't uncalled for.

 • If the price is unfair or to high then people will not buy it, simple as that. I'm also not a naive consumer, if something is bullshit then I'm not buying it, just like these emotes. I'm not paying $20 for some emotes and shaders, that's me. However there are people out there that feel it's worth paying $20. People pay $15 for CoD map packs all the time, obviously there are enough people in the world that are fine with paying that. The small minority can keep crying all day, as long as people are buying and companies are making money, then they are going to keep selling them as is.

 • You dont understand that its a past point moment. Meaning people spent money on it and in the expanding world of destiny. Litterally everything in it got shut down. That VoG class item? 130 defence, that HoW class item? 3 defence. Armor got shut down like all year one armor. Trails armor got replaced by identicle armor with a different name. Class item was also reduced to 30 defence. Aside from the exotics or unlocking a shader PoE became pointless. Unless people voice there concerns, even the minority, stuff like this will be going on. You basically slamming the people trying to voice up there concern's shows your on the company side of not giving a crap, you mite as well be the one with the whip yourself.

 • wait small minority? SMALL? this minority is basically like half of the community or more. we only buy the content because were trying to give the game a chance BUT in the end it fails us over and over again. WE hope that if we actually wait for some new stuff to come out the game will actually get better but it hasn't why else do you think you and maybe 3 other people are the only ones happy with the games progression so far? you guys most likely haven't even experienced content worth buying.

 • Sales can be modeled as a function of price. It is often complex and not really as simple as people either buy it or they don't. The value of something is subjective to circumstances and while there are common prices for games and to a lesser extent DLC, the variance in content is extreme enough that these pricing standards are more heavily influenced by social, cultural, and marketing practices. Is Destiny worth more than twice the cost of Skyrim? Apply that logic with your choice of comparisons. There are people that would pay more as money does not hold the same value to them. And others that are complaining about the cost structure in general for the shockingly less than expected content and practices of outclassing/obsoleting prior game content.

 • See here's the thing, The value of something is different from person to person. You may not see the value of $20 for some emotes and shaders, but the guy next door would gladly spend $20 on that. I got my value out of Destiny, I bought destiny both DLC and now the Expansion, and I'm getting plenty out of it, I had over 600hrs from launch to Christmas. How is Destiny twice as much as Skyrim. I paid like $60 for Skyrim(same with Destiny), bought two DLCs for $20 each(same with Destiny) , and $5 for another(not so with Destiny). So that makes Skyrim $5 more pre TTK. Even adding in $40 more for TTK, I'm getting my money's worth. As I said somewhere else around here, people are still getting their content in Destiny that they paid for, Still have TDB raid, still have PoE. Bungie could have just said -blam!- off and make a new Destiny game every year, just like CoD. People should be grateful their characters and stats are still going to be relevant for the next 9 years.
I'm glad it has been worth while to you. I've played over 1700 hours myself. There are parts that are worth it to me and parts that are not. You imply that you understand the subjective nature of value but it seems to be lip service as you are continually rejecting the opinions of those that didn't find it worthwhile. Destiny is $180-$220 over a year and a half and will be less content. Aside from that, Bethesda was much more forth coming and provided a free development tool that allowed LOTS of content to be created for free and for the consumer to play the game however they wanted.
As I said somewhere else around here, people are still getting their content in Destiny that they paid for, Still have TDB raid, still have PoE. Year 1 weapons effectively gutted. Obsolete rewards/incentive from prior raids and PoE. TTK release gives a boost to "relevant" level to start TTK story line. What is relevant about prior stats? Bungie and Activision's contract ends in 2020. Why are you assuming we'll keep characters for 9 years? Or even if we do, how do you know that anything prior to the most recent DLC will be meaningful?

 • The whole point of this guys OP was that shit is gone from the game, and now he wants a refund. You don't get a refund cause shit is over. I'm done playing Skyrim, should I call up and get a refund, NO! You don't play a game for x amount of days and then say you want a damn refund, cause you're to -blam!-ing poor to buy a new expansion and now all your old content is irrelevant. After TDB people knew the DLC was shit, and yet people still bought HoW. HoW came and lots of stuff changed. Why did anyone think the Expansion was going to be any different. Bungie takes shit down for a week in preparation for TTK, and every dip shit's want a refund. OMG a week without doing the same shit you've been doing for the last year....Not like it's permanent. You get what you paid for, and people are expecting Bungie to just hand shit out to them for free. What happens when Destiny 2 comes out, are people going to cry REFUND then. We are "suppose" to be able to take our characters with us through the Destiny Franchise. How the hell do you get Destiny is $180? I payed $60+$20+20 and now I'm paying $40= $140. Point is people need stop crying TTK isn't even here yet. And if people wanted to teach game companies a lesson, they would stop buying their shit, then they would get the hint.

 • You're missing the underlying argument. People are dissatisfied with the base game and transition into new content forcing them to have less. How does it make sense that an expansion invalidates the majority of the prior content and rewards from that content? People that don't put on the same amount of time that didn't know they were on such a tight timeline before their purchase became obsolete. The same people that were so disappointed with the game that they choose not to purchase TTK exactly how you were saying. There are people that just stopped playing and others that wanted the game to improve and stick with it, provide feed back and voice that they aren't going to buy future products because of the MANY reasons posted on these forums. You can go back and play all of Skyrim with all of the content it was released with plus a lot more. No additional cost added. If you haven't purchased all the DLC then you still have the same level of access. Like most games. Destiny + 2 DLCs + TTK + 2 DLCs is the 2 year plan. $60 + $40 + $40 ($60 or $80) + $40 = $180-$220 And again for less content...
