Hawkmoon after 2.0 patch/update

Whats with the destiny update page saying its lowering the magazine for all handcannons, yet bungie is changing one of the perks to add 2 rounds, doesn't make sense if bungie is saying 2 completely different things and still applying them to the same thing

  • when it comes to the haekmoon a smaller clip would make it more powerful. it has two - three high damage rounds per moon clip if you were to lower the mag size then those damage rounds would have a much higher hit chance and would increase the hawkmoons effectiveness in PvP . keeping it at 13 was smart . BTW sometimes the damage perks stack two on one bullet but no longer three on one that's why the high damage count isn't just three

  • Basically the two cancel each other out. It now starts with 11 rounds and bumps up to 13 with its exotic perk. Still doesn't matter because pulse rifles will wreck hawkmoon any day because its accuracy is garbage and why would you use a weapon that's only good in party crasher range when you could use a weapon that's good at every range?

    • Do you guys remember in 1.1.1 when they said "hand cannon accuracy reduced when rapidly firing shots" that did virtually nothing to effect accuracy and impact? Well now with the base accuracy and range restrictions added, this virtually non exist and apparently completely ignored change has actually surfaced as a mechanic that actually effects gun play in 2.0. You know, since everyone's complaining about hand cannon acc being trash now, when it's actually pin point accurate within intended ranges as long as you pace your shots. Hawkmoon can fire at 2.5 rounds per second, but pacing your shots put knocks you down to 2. This means that at the one second mark you can fire your first round. That makes the minimum TTK of Hawkmoon .5-1 second depending on the random bullet proc, precision damage, and opponent armor. This is literally the EXACT same TTK as a Red Death, at the same exact ranges. Because we all know who use the Red Death, that the range and stability of that gun only allows 2 shots at certain ranges. In short, hand cannons especially the Hawkmoon are fine as long as you pace your shots.

    • Exotic Hand cannons weren't effected by the mag size nerf.

    • Listen if hawkmoon had less rounds the 3 lucky bullets would happen more often. No one wants to deal with that.
