The recent reveal of the Empyrean Bellicose has gotten me very worried about the state of the Titan exotics going into year two. I love my Titan so much so I made him my main after being a Warlock main for the majority of the game. I'm sure this has been brought up many times but it bears repeating that Titan exotics need some love.
I think in large part the problem is many exotics focus on melee, and I know this is no news to everyone but Titan melee is the worst in the game. I will outline what I think are the problems with the exotics and what makes them so bad IMO.
Glasshouse: oh this is one of those worthless exotics. You could literally do just as well with a legendary helm. The "exotic" perk never comes into play because when you pop a bubble it's used for protection meaning you will be dipping in and out of the bubble making the perk useless. Couple that with a melee perk on a terrible melee class....facepalm.
Insurmountable Skullfort: this helm suffers because it tries to strengthen the weakest part of the striker class. I understand Transfusion works with shoulder charge as well, but I don't find it to be very effective again skilled opponents. A melee helmet in a bad melee class, thanks Bungie.
No Backup Plans: well to start they are probably the ugliest looking exotic. You basically get an overshield when you get a melee kill. Granted you can speck the class so the overshield recharges but you have to get a kill first, which therein lies the problem. Yet another melee focused Titan exotic.
Ruin Wings: I'm sure I'm gonna catch shit for this but I don't like the way the gauntlets function. They do have a use in the hard Crota raid when heavy ammo was so scarce but most of the time you either have more than you can carry or none at all.
ACDO/0 Feedback Fence: I don't personally own these but have seen them in use and they just don't do enough damage. I thought they could supplement the Titans terrible melee but alas no.
Mark 44 Stand Asides: I have already voices my opinion on shoulder charge so naturally I think these suck. I don't understand why shoulder charge has a window for use anyway but that's another topic.
Peregrine Greaves: shoulder charge deals more damage in the air big freaking deal.
These are just the exotics I think are bad and that's not to say the others are all good. I just feel like Bungie is out of touch with reality. That's enough of that, what's the community's thoughts on this issue?
Edit: 150 comments, I never thought I would see that many. Thanks everyone for there thoughts and insight on this issue.

2 RespuestasIdk man I own all 3 characters but the worst exotic for myself would be the ahamkara claw thing for the hunter that makes trip mines last longer
-
2 RespuestasYou must be playing a different game because I used and respect all my exotic armor for Titans, let me also say this, the bellicose helmet while throwing hammers?! Come on, that'll be op as hell.
-
18 RespuestasYeah Titans have some iffy ones but I think warlocks have it worse, it basically comes down to light beyond nemisis (which is basically on all 3 classes as crest of alpha lupi), nothing manacles and purifier robes. The others are so-so at best

1 RespuestaAs a Titan who collected every single exotic (probably twice at this point) I disagree with you to some extent... Some suck yes, but the same happens with other classes, but we have some really good ones as well and they are very situational Saint14= probably the best helmet in the game for pve Ruin wings + gally = horrid OP in pve, you can pretty much run a strike on heavy if u keep synthesis on the go for those "dry" moments Armamentarium = great for control crucible if you know how to aim at a wall rather than the floor Lupi is pretty cool to revive/get extra orbs Acd feedback fence + bubble + armor of light and a shotty you can pretty much hold a zone in control on your own I don't see why the exotics for Titans are underwhelming, again some are bad but the same happens with other classes as well

My guess is Titans have a lot of crap coming their way. I also have a feeling that they might get 1-2 good exotics that completely outshine the rest, like double the length of your hammer of sol super or standing in sunspots grant 2x health.

1 RespuestaWhat? Titans have amazing exotics..

6 RespuestasOkay lets see ACDO feedback fence is great pve it staggers most enemies and kills small ones ive taken out groups of thrall by jumping in Skullfort is meh it opens up the spot so you can you something other than transfusion Dont have any boots sadly ;-; No back up plans are not very good seeing as most titans take too much damage to extend the effect Glasshouse good if you want to only have to step in a bubble once for weapons or if youre on the move like in poe with mines or start of crota raid And lets not forget the biggest part!!!! You forgot to mention all the other good exotic titan armor!!!!!! Helm of the saint 14- stunning anything that goes in the bubble (god tier if you ask me) Crest of alpha lupi- creates more orbs making it good for anything with a fireteam (aka almost any end game content) and lets you pick up allies faster which is only usless in hard raids and most crucible but not all The armamentarium- extra grenade good in pretty much any situation and more special and heavy ammo which is good for juggler and if you wanna just wreck a bunch of stuff Helm of inmost light- must have for any striker in my opinion opens up skill tree for diffrent options like having death from above and aftermath (aftershock thing from titan smash) The point is there are plenty of good ones and each class has their bad exotics so its all even

Feedback fence are great for lamps anything with thrall or any thing where they melee you, the 44 stand asides are great for PvP and the peregrine greaves make it so a warlock with ram and max armor can't survive ( i encountered this in IB today really pissed me off) Glasshouse effects weapons and blessings and let me tell you increased damage for even longer is amazing for BH on strike bosses or any boss, i will say ruined wings are not effective its choppy with performance... These exotics are good you just have to use them for some situations both boots are 1000% geared to PvP and 3 seconds more of shoulder charge or increased damage is a big plus +

Us hunters get another version of the stupid bone gauntlets .. Really

Editado por ULiano_III: 8/27/2015 12:58:12 AMThe helmet looks cool but seems blah. I so wish tho you could have that, Ruin Wings, Alpha Lupi and Stand asides all equipped at once. You would look sick.
-
Ruin wings when running strikes for unlimited heavy. Best way to speed run dragons. Imo it's one of the best exotics in the game
-
3 RespuestasImagine that helm new helm with the super, its gonna be sick if it works while in super
-
3 RespuestasWould love a helm that caused anyone to enter your bubble to have dot damage while inside thw bubble. As of now, I see nothing to replace helm of saint 14
-
2 RespuestasI heard no backup plans is gonna be buffed.

Bungie hates Titans. There are 3 really outstanding Titan exotics and the rest fall far short of them (Saint-14, Armamentarium, Ruin Wings). I feel Titans are underrated and underused due to this hatred. Hopefully Sunbreaker brings about great exotics as well as some new great ones for the other subclasses. Or, you know, ascend Saint-14.

God i hope not.

1 RespuestaSaint-44 is one of the best exotic armor in my opinion

3 RespuestasEditado por o0DELTA FORCE0o: 8/27/2015 12:02:38 AMDoes not matter because one way or another they are getting nerfed!
-
6 RespuestasEditado por The Worm Keeper: 8/26/2015 11:56:39 PMPeregrine greaves kill everything in crucible. And in nightfalls with arc burn, they can one hit almost all enemies except the boss. On Taniks a few weeks back, striker Titans were capable of one hit killing the spider tank. No jokes. Video above.

3 RespuestasI've found many of those items useful, actually.
-
2 RespuestasThink of it this way, if you can aim hammer of Sol and hang in air while raining down fiery death hammers it will be awesome
-
I think we are in store for a year of underwhelming exotics in general.
-
6 RespuestasPeregrine greaves with arc burn and brawler can one shot all but the boss....but its still risky. The skullfort's purpose is to provide better survivability. In fact it best compliments a strength build due to how its perk works. More chances at melee plus overload(chance for storm fist to reset cooldown on kill) plus full melee every time you respawn means transfusion is always ready. The stand asides due have use when combined with the mida, but thats pretty much a troll build for both your team and opponents. The feedback fence is amazingly underrated in pvp, ive been killed out of shoulder charge because of it. Buts still situational. The glasshouse sucks unless your in very specific circumstances in pve. Overall, they all need some tweaks. Like the skullfort could alter how stormfist works alongside adding transfusion. My idea would be this: Stormfist resets on hit and activates transfusion on hit. Just that alone would make it better, and this is coming from someone who prefers the skullfort over every other Titan exotic.

2 RespuestasI don't have any issue with what they do but I'm hoping titan armour steps up in the looks department. Some look cool but most not so much. Thankfully the TTK seems to be helping make the titans armour look way more badass. The new knight iron banner armour looks amazing.

1 RespuestaEditado por feigny: 8/26/2015 11:20:36 PMI haven't acquired them yet, but I think it's totally silly to have two different exotics just for shoulder charge (ie. Mark 44 stand asides and Peregrine Greaves). It'd be better if they were combined (and if need be slightly nerfed). What I do hope though is that with the nerf of shot package (et al), shoulder charging will hopefully be more viable... I remember them saying they were redesigning No backup Plans for 2.0, though no details as of yet. Though I think my biggest qualm is with Eternal Warrior and unstoppable. I really don't feel unstoppable with using it at all... In fact it should be redesigned so that while you're in the midst of using it, there should be a 100% damage reduction and a 2 second lingering overshield. This might sound over powered, but the amount of times I've died just trying to get close to the enemies to use fists of havoc and taking damage, and then dying mid FoH animation, is too many to count. I mean for a super that takes very little time to use, it should seem like a fair trade off where you can actually use it without issue... That being said, the plenty of times I've missed with FoH, the time it takes to get from 3rd person back into running away or continuing to fire, leaves me open to enemy fire (hence the 2 second over shield). I don't like just using FoH as a panic button, and only killing one enemy. I'd love to rush the enemy and take them out. (Juggernaut also being kinda useless for that reason too, if I remember it just takes 2 body shots to take it down) EDIT: I suppose a 2 second overshield thing could be removed, if FoH become less of a panic button as well...

I could see the bellicose with the flame hammer being rather fun if it'll translate to that. It's never be my go to exotic for a Titan but I could see posting up in the air and raining fire and brimstone a blast when bored. I also never thought the bones of eao would be my go to exotic but since week 2 of house of wolves it's really the only hunter exotic I use.
