Don't take a day off work when TTK releases.
But take the day after. This way you can play when you come home from work, play all night AND the next day! More playtime for you! :D
Edit: I see 3 types of people in here.
1) People that think Work is more important than a Game. These people are weird.
2) People that think School is more important than a Game, which is true. DON'T SKIP SCHOOL, KIDS!
3) People that go COMPLETELY OVERKILL AND TAKE A MONTH OFF. I like these people.

Ok depends where you work and if you need money. With school, go ahead and skip high school or whatever. Now college? I paid a ton of money for that I ain't skipping anything XD plus I get out at 12pm

I need help deciding.. I can take my two days off that week.. But my birthday is the 13th. I'm considering working on my birthday and then taking off Tuesday and Wednesday.. Decisions decisions! I already put in for Tuesday but I think Wednesday would be better? Hell.. I may do all 3 but that's money.

I only have 3 classes but they total up to 5 hours and 10 min of class which isn't necessarily too bad, but I have class from 9:00-12:15 then I have a small break until 4:00 when I have a class until 6:40. It just sucks that I'll be able to play any new releases for like 3 hours then have to tear myself away for class.

I'm using a vacation day on the day of TTK, and the next day, so 2 days to get to level 40....

I use a vacation day on the day it comes out. Most people don't work just a normal 8 hour day so taking the next day off and playing the day of release after work is kinds hard. Work is the most important thing lol. Unless mommy buys everything for you

I've asked Bungie multi times if the game will release at midnight or during the day on the 15th Sep and have had no response. So I've booked the 15th onwards off work.

3 RespuestasUsually when a game first comes out or releases a hyped DLC the servers get so swamped that you cannot login or efficiently play. Even though Destiny operates on a hybrid P2P system I have a feeling that day 1 TTK will overload things.

My last week's vacation starts the 13th! NFL Sunday then my eagles play Monday night then TTK at 12 AM later that night boom

This actually makes more sense. I took a 1/2 day off when HOW released because it wasn't available until 1:00 PM EST. I would definitely get more play time if I just took off the day after so I could play after work until late, get some sleep and then have the entire next day to find things to b*tch about.

I took the entire week off. You're forgetting the early acess to weapons packages so even though the DLC may not launch till later on in the day we still have lots of grinding to do for the new weapons etc like the last DLC in PvP
