So for all the ppl trying to figure out how the average is $25 an hr it's not a normal bell curve there are way more ppl at the low end of the spectrum but when athletes, CEOs, etc are making several hundred dollars an hr it skews the scale. So as someone said for every person making 7.25 someone would have to be making ~40/hr while that is true in the simplest form, someone making $400/hr equates to 10 ppl making minimum wage. Also 25/hr is only about 50k/year.
If you don't make that much chances are you are below 30, a student, unemployed, retired, or don't have a college education. There are many parts of the US that you can't afford to live on your own with an income less than 50k/year.

Athletes CEOs etc don't make an hourly wage.
