Simple question, is being in a clan for destiny something I should do?
I imagine being in a group of like minded players who play together would be a fun thing but wanted to see what people think.
I have yet to ever actually join a clan in any game so I'm a noob with this. I would be looking for a psn based clan.

Wolves are strong enough to stay alone, stand apart, but when the time comes we are wise enough to become one

Yea you can make some good friends getting into clans.

I like the feel of being a lone wolf.

1 RespuestaClans are just gangs that don't go around killing and robbing people.

A clan helps if you struggle with finding people to do certain activities, but other than that i would not recommend joining just a random clan. If you want a clan for the social aspect of things, having fun, fooling around, etc, its probably better to make your own clan with some friends (a clan really does not need to be big). In most cases, joining a random clan can get you experieneces as bad as using lfg, they arent that much different as long as you dont know what or who you are joining. So if you are going to pick a clan to join, look for smaller ones. The ones withy hundreds of members is just to facilitate lfg.

1 RespuestaIn a clan but we we're already friends who play on a regular basis first. Clans are great but probably best to join a small to medium clan if you want to make friends not just randoms to do an activity with

My clan mates and I really get involved, we even have a group text chat going that's pretty active. We're on X1 if anyone wants in! All are welcome!

1 RespuestaI'm the leader if a clan. If it wasn't for my team, I would've probably ended up quitting this game. Clans make more of a reason to play; help each other. I have every exotic and most people would stop there but I like to help my team. Not to mention, looking for an LFG trials group every week could be a nightmare and you could get easily frustrated. I personally recommended a smaller clan with 20-30 member. In smaller clans, you can play with the same people more regularly to get used to their play style. Makes the teamwork stronger. That's just my personal opinion, of course.

I have been with this clan from before beta, so worthwhile, made many new friends

Editado por parkerstrife: 8/20/2015 4:48:41 PMMade a clan to get the platinum trophy on ps4, never felt like a clan though. Might go look for a pvp clan because thats all i seem to play these days

3 RespuestasI haven't had very good luck with clans. I've actually made many more gaming friends just using the LFG app.
-
Yes, we even started playing other games together.
-
yes, but depends on the clan it is difficult to find a good one
-
im sure it is very worthwhile if the clan has many members and is active, i've only joined 1 clan once and nobody ever organized any games and people would barely play, there was 90 members but only like 6-10 would be playing at any given time and they would usually already be teamed up with eachother so i left. having a team always helps unless they are just dead space on your friends list

2 RespuestasEditado por Kill: 8/20/2015 4:18:46 PMClans are great! You're really not getting the full experience without one in my opinion. Some clans can get overpopulated with inactive people but you have to keep an open mind and when you find the right one the game gets even better x9000

2 RespuestasI would recommend just creating a clan with your raid group fun to be part of a group and when you face a team of six in crucible all part of one clan ppl get a bit worried
-
Most clans I've been invited too everyone knows each other is real life and I'd be the only one who doesn't know anyone. And it's annoying as hell becuase when ever I'm in a party with one of my friends who's in a clan all of his clan mates start joining and ask me a million times to join their clan

10 RespuestasClans are fun. Especially if you are lucky enough to join one like mines. The banter flying around means even when the "best" player in the clan, makes everyone wipe because he really isn't as good as he thinks.

You do build relationships (good or bad, lol) with people you consistently play with. But you don't need to be in a clan to do this. It does help to be in a clan to coordinate scheduling activities in advance. Go to clan page and post, "hey, who wants to do VoG Wednesday at 8pmET?" or whatever. But you can also do this from other apps like kik. With all the LFG sites, you don't need to be in a clan complete activities. I'd recommend joining a clan to see what it's all about. And then you can stay or strike out on your own based on what you want.

I love my clan. Funny group of guys.

Just make sure to join the right one. I personally have zero interest in joining a clan (I'm technically in one, but there are only 2 of us. We made it as an inside joke about my friends brother), but they can be useful and enhance your experience. I just don't like the "must play x amount of hours a day/week" bullsh*t that some clans have going on (I've been invited to numerous clans and checked their clan page out and they've had these requirements). Just find a chill clan that doesn't really have any requirements and it'll be great. You don't need an environment where you have to tell commander sweaty why you weren't on a video game for 2 days, trying to convince him not to kick you.

Very much worthwhile, I'd say smaller clans (less than 20 people) would be best if you are new to clans
