Here's the issue. Did you see what happened with HoW and ascension? Nobody gave the new gear half a chance, because they just stuck to their favorite guns from before. If they gave us that on year 1s, a bulk of players would never switch or go beyond their current favorites. This way, we're going to have to at LEAST use the new Year 2 gear for a while, let us get the taste of it.

Well when you have guns with stupid-ass perks like dreg burn, why wouldn't we stick to our old guns? Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about the prospect of cool new gear, but they better pony up this time.

Bump the gospel

Editado por RogueAgent-11: 8/20/2015 12:48:25 AMThe new weps were horrible. Dreg burn?? Shank burn??? Burn for enemy that are dead in one shot????
-
It can turn some guns into BEASTS against hordes. RL's can wipe out a dozen+ Shanks, LMGs can clear rooms of common enemies.
-
I gave new gear a chance, I liked the fulcrum, tried the shotgun which was trash, sniper was great, Cannon was trash, and all Poe weapons were just bad. I tried multiple scouts and cannons. In what world would someone choose dregs pride 2 over fatebringer? It had a bs perk in the final slot of all how guns. The only Poe weapon that was even somewhat worthy of a slot was shadow of veils.
-
Personally, my Dreg's Pride rolled with Demotion, which proves INSANELY handy in missions against high-level Fallen.
-
But is the weapon really better? Or are the old wepons better, but just been intentionally made obsolete due to power creep. Im not saying thats the case with ttk, but it was with how weapons.
-
They're not 'better' per se, but they're more optimized to user preference. Power over stability, accuracy and rof over damage per bullet, etc.
-
Right, the perk selection in ttk looks really promising. But just upping damage and not adressing the issue of the perks and customization thoroughly is just lazy if you ask me. The new weapons should be interesting and useful enough to actually warrant use. The team in charge of the poe weapons for instance, should have taken a serious look at player weapon priority and function when they started throwing around shank and dreg burn.
-
We don't yet know if those are future utilities. Perhaps TTK will see a surge of upgraded Shanks/Dregs.
-
But if you cant upgrade them, whats the point? See what i mean. Seems theyre selling themselves short.
-
Not particularly. Early on, those may rule the roost until we start finding more interesting guns.
-
Dont really think it will take much to outclass a void shankburn hmg..
-
All the new shit was awful
-
It had some strong suits. Got the SR, HC, and FR, and those things wreck, on par with or surpassing any other similar weapons.
-
The Scholar, Messenger, Summoner, Jewel and Tomorrow's Answer are the only decent weapons.
-
Depends. Wolves Leash, Dreg's Promise, and whatever the PoE Fusion Rifle was called are all pretty good, too. With the right setup

Perhaps a solution would be to put the infusion on everything but raid weapons. Not foolproof, but whatevs
-
That would still defeat the purpose. There are plenty of non-raid weapons that would never be replaced.
-
I guess, it's hard to think of this without coming up with some loophole
