Say it isn't so!! The Grimoire score, something many of us cherish and have worked so hard to increase or max has been removed from the emblem nameplate insignia? Why?!?! Why do we need to see both base AND light levels on the emblem card? Eventually everyone will be level 40, and people can easily inspect to view this redundant info. Grimoire is a great way to instantly distinguish between more accomplished and engaged players than viewing whether they are base level 30 or 40.
Grimoire score belongs on the emblem nameplate and should be restored. I realized I am basing this off of test build and early videos, but still wanted to share my feedback.

1 RespuestaAll their fancy "Uber MLG" Destiny players they like to showcase, usually have trash Grimoire scores, cause they only play that ONE thing they are good at. And unlike your Level where you can explain away by saying "I'm using new armor" Or it's my "Raid Gear" etc... You can't explain away your trashy Grimoire score. So Bungie want's to get rid of it.

7 RespuestasI agree with many of my group members here that removing the grimoire from nameplate is not something the endgame community wanted. The now nearly 1400 of us who have worked, grinded, and spent countless hours perfecting destiny feel this is our identity and would really undermine the incredible tasks we accomplished in literally beating every challenge the game has to offer. We already are under rewarded with our achievement considering there is really no reward or incentive to obtain the maximum obtainable grimoire, that however has not stopped myself and my fellow group mates from doing it. In addition if what is stated in this post is true, not only will this trend continue, but you will this will take away the very identity my entire group has worked so hard to earned and deserve to keep. Grimoire is more redundant than light. It's just a way to show who has a life and not.

I really don't think grimoire matters, I met some player in crucible that are 780-1250 and wreck the whole map. Some 3000- 3500 that need to get carried still. I think it's skill that's the factor. Experience tells all. You know who you guys are (The Vets), Solo'd raids, solo,d all POEs, leading flawless in trial even though your two team mates suck, top K/d's every match. Skill my friend, and experience.

1 RespuestaFirst off all of you who say that why are they removing it boo hoo. They aren't they put it in your character menu so they can still see it. Also why would you rather have a useless stat that doesn't help you than a stat that helps your power when fighting. Think before you -blam!-ing post.

2 RespuestasI that my grimoire score to be the first thing that people see. Screw my level who cares about that, once they see my grimoire they'll know I'm maxed on all my characters.
-
2 RespuestasBump. If they get rid of grimoire, I'm quitting the game. End of story.
-
2 RespuestasStraight up dumb and unwanted by the end game community. Grimoire scores are a major indicator of a player's true experience and is a badge of honour for many players, particularly day one Guardians. It is both a source of pride and of information during PVP and match made activities. Say it ain't so.

2 RespuestasGrimoire score is the most important stat that distinguishes a player. Idk why Bungie is changing this but they need to rethink it before another HUGE mistake is make like the Dark Below

Guys guys, calm down. If you inspect someone (look at their gear are stuff) you can see it
-
2 RespuestasWhhy are they removing it? The placing is perfect in my opinion.
-
2 Respuestasremove grimoire, and make old legendaries useless? i swear this new update is absolutely going to ruin this game. its more dedicated players with high grimoire im sure, who like myself, spent a lot of time getting one of everything and perfect weapons for perfect burns etc. all bungie wants is to basically reset us to keep us grinding for a whole nother year.
-
Yep, the character level won't mean anything. We should see the light level and the grimoire score.
-
5 RespuestasCommunity asks for more inclusive grimiore, bungie removes it from the game further. Failed.
-
They'll do everything to stop players from gatekeeping activities except actually add matchmaking.
-
I feel you for wanting to show grimiore but I would rather have an actual stat that helps me in missions be on it so that I can see who is powerful and who isn't when trying to get a fire team.

Eh... Who cares. Looks like a bunch of snowflakes here. You people will complain about anything....it's truly astonishing. Never ceases to amaze me.

I couldn't care less about grim score.
-
Newsflash: no one cares about your grimore score.

8 RespuestasPersonally, I don't think Grimoire is all that important. To me its just another number like the Achievements for Xbox. My response to seeing someone with a high Grimoire is this,"Oh wow he must have found all the ghost shells by looking online..." Thats it. Of course theres more to it but I don't give more respect to anyone with a high Grimoire and I've learned not to trust numbers since my PC experience on World of Tanks. Grimoire is just a number and I won't judge the player until I see them in action.

People can inspect other to find out their grimoire, it's not gone.
