the issue is that strange coins are given at random too, but somehow Gjallarhorn is luck and strange coins are skill. I get it that Gjallarhorn is gotten by luck, but xur's inventory is completely luck too, and you're guaranteed the opportunity to buy a Gjallarhorn if you have the characters to do the weekly heroic on. At least the people who got their first Gjallarhorn as a drop felt special when they got it, like they were the luckiest person ever. Now it's just another gun, just another shard, or just example of a fanbase who cries until they get a gun, then cries because they don't feel special from buying it. They don't feel special because they aren't special when they buy it. Anyone can buy it. That's my main issue. The people who buy it think "finally, good thing I have these strange coins" instead of "finally, every raid and nightfall and crucible match I've ever played have payed off! I got the Gjallarhorn! YAY!" So overall, Xur's sale this weekend is whatever. It's good, it's bad, it's whatever. But I feel bad for the people who never got the experience of Gjallarhorn dropping for them because it was an important part of my destiny career. I've spent far too many hours on this game to care when people get a gun the easy way, but as soon as someone acts like their strange coins were earned more than any other random loot I'm swinging the almighty Gjallarhorn at their heads. They bought it, didn't earn it. They earned what they used to buy it, yes. But anyone can earn strange coins. They got it by luck, not by skill, just like everyone else in the game. So everyone relax, what's done is done. Can't wait to see how hard the gun gets nerfed. I'm not sure it would be worth MY hard earned (lol) strange coins because I'm betting it'll never come back to the godly power that it is right now. Especially now that everyone who has three lvl 30+ characters are guaranteed the gun if they want it.

See ur view point is just switched from mine. There is no difference. Its the same fanbase who says they dont feel special cause now people have a guaranteed way to get something they obtained by pure luck. No one in this game is special. If they are theen its not for very long. I think the only one in destiny to actually be "special" is the guy that was given Fate of All Fools. Neither side are to blame. Bungie is the one who designed the game the way it is so that there is little to no difference. From the start every exotic should have had a bounty. That way everyone would have gotten it the same way and there would be no dispute over what qualifys as earned. I think the only thing we can agree on is that "earning" is judged by game time over anything lol

considering I have the game on both Xbox 360 and PS3 I can say I've spent far more hours on this game than the average joe who got their Gjallarhorn from Xur. Drop the mic. Thank you. (:

funny, you can ask my friends and family if I spend enough time on the game. They'll speak much differently, they say I play it too much. So obviously you weren't looking in the right places. Like crucible. I have nearly every exotic in the game and have experienced all that there is to experience. I'm proud of my gameplay and calling it irreverent doesn't make me angry or disturbed at the slightest. It just makes you look like a jerk, actually. So, um, have fun on the game. I hope your experience is as great as mine has been. I hope that you get everything you want even if it takes 23 strange coins. I hope that you meet fantastic people. Those are things that I have done and will continue to do no matter what people say. I've been on the game the entire Year One. Since launch to closing, I've been playing the game and never getting bored. Nothing anyone ever says can change the way this game has changed me. Thank you, Bungie. never said it was all irrelevant. Based on game time and raid completions on ur xbox i said the xbox game time seems irrelevant. For all i know, u never put effort into the xbox and played 5 times more on psn. Only thing is ur psn isnt whats linked and i dont have much interest to do that much digging. Just felt like pointing out that total raid completions on at least ur xbox is fairly low with both normal and hard raids added together. Based off that, saying ghorn was "earned" from ur raids was kinda funny. And actually kinda makes you look like the jerk. Read carefully before going off on a rant. And no i didnt look into ur crucible records. That hasnt been what the conversation is about. I prefer to stick to the content that matters. 1. how I personally earned gjallarhorn is what's irreverent. 2. I earned my gjallarhorn from prison of elders, not a regular raid. 3. My raid completions are also irrelevant and this is a lot of PVP. I know people who don't play pve at all.
