Xur selling Gjallarhorn. What are your thoughts??
So what are your thoughts on this? I personally think it's ok.

It's what he does. He's sold it before. It's a non-issue. I'm enjoying it without relying on the tracking, and I even took down Crota without the Wolfpack rounds and got the Crux. Good day today

If it helps that just about everyone will own one now maybe they won't need but that's just wishful thinking. I've had one per character for months now. Felt like a moron way way back when I bought the void fang vestments instead of gjally, didn't realize how badass it was and that Xur would sell the vestments every week for like two months. I'm happy that those year one ppl that just couldn't get one can get one now took me a 1000hrs to get my first one. But I don't know how many week one players play all that much anymore. They've killed or are planning to kill the rest of exotics anyway the armors are the only ones that seems to fit that description "exotic" anymore.

I been having a Ghorn for a while now. And seeing Xur sell it really didn't bother me much. I just feel kind of shocked really.. People saying he will never sell it, it's not on his loot table etc. I'm not mad.. Just shocked lol

It could signal that Bungie is confident that the redesigns of TTK will keep us playing without needing to chase Gjallarhorn, it definitely signals that Bungie is tired of the effect that this weapon had on the community/game (largely negative). It is also possible that they are just removing it as a goal so you can concentrate more fully on the new content they are offering. I'm glad they sold it. Still not pre-ordering.

If players and Bungie make the right moves. It should force every gamer to step up their "game" (something that should of happened a long time ago) Why? Well let us look at each aspect of the game to date. First let's look at PVE. Specifically bigger endgame activities (A.K.A raids.) We all know having a Gjallarhorn was a Golden ticket in the Crota's End raid for certain players. Now that it is being sold later in the game, we can expect more users to be able to raid. So let's put some pressure on the new/relic/swordbearing/inexperience raiders. Not in a bad way, but to help them actually learn the mechanics hands on. Don't just give the swordbearer duty to the most "skilled" person, or the hunter because it is "easier". Get the new guy take Crota on. Show him that having the Gjallarhorn shouldn't mean you get the easy way out by shooting a Rocket at Crota. Almost anyone will be able to do this now the Gjallarhorn is being sold. The same goes for The Vault. The new/inexperienced guy has a Gjallarhorn, have him go in the portals and take on the Gatekeeper to get the relic. Their Gjallarhorn should help them. Have them go into the middle as well. Time to put it to use. Have them learn something besides having a Gjallarhorn is a automatic invite to a group. As for you new owners. Now you can create your OWN group (C.E.wise)..and have plenty of Gjallarhorn buddies to help. No reason not to now. You've could have done this awhile ago most felt like the Gjallarhorn was such a needed rocket. Now you have. Go start a team and kick some ass. Besides nerfing the Gjallarhorn. Keep adding those new modifiers to nightfall. Instead of burns add other small arms increase (like you did Heroic) and tougher enemies damage wise. Make shooting a rocket not as a wise decision. Challenge your players more. Now for PVP. This is something that I've wittness wiser gamers do when the Heavy Ammo box is about to drop; Instead of waiting for the drop to be available, the6 go prevent the opposition for getting their ammo. I usually save my supers for this moment. It is crippling when performed right. Challenge the enemies and keep them for using Heavy all together. This is a perfect opportunity to challenge ourselves, other players, as well as Bungie to step up and make the game more challenging as well.

It's good. I've had the game since day 1 and still don't have one despite doing 3 Nightfalls every week and running the other content when I have a group for it. So I'll be earning it when I buy it from Xur tonight. If you've played this game for a long enough time, you've definitely earned it no matter how you got it.

I think it's rediculous that people are complaining about such a small part of the game. And I would say that buying it from Xur is actually the closest thing to earning the gjallarhorn, not RNG. We do the weekly heroic to get 9 strange coins and we then use the coins to buy any exotics we don't have. There is nothing random about that process.
