We dont know for sure yet, and hes definitely not scouting, hes in the middle of a space war in this trailer, and while it shows him in deep shit, we dont know if he died

I was about to post something similar, does catch my attention and makes me go wtf we are barely seeing that guy do something besides being a douche and he dies, clutch trailer

It's not guaranteed, but I think he's either A) Died scouting the Dreadnought, B) Died in that epic fight scene outside the Dreadnought, C) Killed crashing into the dreadnought, or D) Crashed into the Dreadnought and lived. The way I see it, he has a 25% chance of living and a 75% chance of dying

Then the next clip is of a detonation, but you don't know if those two scenes are in the same sequence or not.

Watch, we'll get a lot of background information in the story about him, and he'll die a few minutes after that. You know someone is going to die when they weren't well known in the beginning, but then gets an abnormally large amount of screen time to tell their back story.
