Yep. I said it
Is some of the stuff he says overblown? Yes. Is he sometimes (if not often) overdramatic? Yes, and I'm sure he'll admit to that. But Lost Sols, like Datto, loves this game, but sees lots of problems with it. I've looked at his characters. He puts in work. He comes on the forums and he talks about the problems. He doesn't sit and cuss the community managers out. He calls out problems as they are. And I think we need more people like that. Not people that hide behind a curtain.
I'd give Bungie alot more credibility knowing that one of the community managers is actually on our side because right now, it doesn't feel that way.
Bungie has become the community's enemy. That should be heartbreaking for them. But evidently its not. And I know its a shot in the dark, but I want people like Lost Sols more involved in what Destiny turns out to be. I don't wanna see a game that I've made alot of friends with just go down the tubes. I wanna see Bungie how they used to be. I want them to take "The Bungie Approach" to quote the devs at Dying Light (oddly enough, given the recent DLC stint).
If there's anybody from Bungie reading this, please forward this to your higher-ups.
People will be more willing to pay for DLC if its stuff we actually want. This game could've made alot more money by implementing alot of these ideas that the community asks for. Alot of people may disagree with me but I got more than my $60 worth when I bought this game. Sure its bland, repetitive, randomness-based gameplay is pretty out there, but you can't say you don't enjoy it.
Just give the community a chance. Give somebody a real say.

I agree..

Hell no that arrogant jerk doesn't deserve it
-
That would a terrible idea
-
How about you for CM considering you're the only one that gives a -blam!-... Logically speaking he can't and won't become the CM just because of some post :) thanks for trying.

25 RespuestasSols is a very well-spoken person, but he doesn't respond well to anyone disagreeing with him. He also doesn't have anything good to say about the game, and solely caters to the opinion of the majority of the forums, not Bungie's ideals. So no, he should not.
-
8 RespuestasNope put Sols on my mute list for a reason. His passion for writing those well-thought out feedback posts often stems into his passion for arguing in a not so well-thought out tone with those who disagree, not a good trait for a CM.
-
Hahah if Sols represented us he wouldn't tell Bungie about our thoughts on OP weapons in crucible, he'd just tell us to "get good" followed by cacophony of "get good scrub" and "scrubby bïtch" from the 16 year olds in his entourage.
1 RespuestaBump, but they will just nerf him from the Ghorn that he is now into like... An Unfriendly Giant.. He would lose what we all like about his posts... Some corporations just don't harbor creativity well, he wouldn't last long at BungieVision..
-
He gets my vote as long as Bungie and Activision don't nerf him.

Editado por TheLordCypher: 8/9/2015 12:02:28 PMI am TheLordCypher and I approve this message. I will be bowing out of the race for community manager and putting my full support behind Lost sols. Lost sols a manager that would actually do his job!!!!
-
YES WE NEED LOST SOLS!!!!!!!
-
I really don't know what else to say other than: Yes, please.
-
No he's a bitch
-
he is passionate
-
No, community managers are corporate bitches, or at least are forced into that role
-
1 RespuestaHe will get fired in 12 hours. This game is about profits...not quality.

3 RespuestasEditado por Morgana Nimueh: 8/10/2015 1:38:29 PMI put Lost Sols on my mute list for a reason. Yes he writes well articulated posts but his opinions are flawed and baseless. Being passionate about your beliefs is one thing, getting upset and angry because not everyone agrees with you is another. Hardly a good trait for anyone you suggest as a bridge between the Community and Bungie. Unless of course you accept Lost Sol's opinion and no one else's. That's why I would vote not in favour of your suggestion for Lost Sols.

While it would be nice to have a community manager we can 100% trust, I don't think it would work. Sols, while not wrong, is quite antagonistic in his portrayal of bungie and their actions and I think getting the two parties to co-operate would be an issue, they'd just end up disagreeing and we wouldn't get anywhere.

1 RespuestaJeez what are u gay for him

Dude... No! Even though some of his posts makes sense And he reeeeeeeeeeeally like To write on forums, he curses and talk down To almost everyone who disagrees with him. I've seen him talking down a LOT of people when they are simply asking for nerfs for example (even though sometimes people ask for stupid nerfs). He needs to be more kind To other people's opinions even when he doesnt agree with them. That should be the first thing a community manager should learn. Oh and he's too dramatic.. :)
-
I respect Sol's articulate nature and how he speaks with clarity and meaning, but at the same time he doesn't really acknowledge some of the blatant issues within the game if he himself doesn't perceive them as such, which is not a good attitude to have. He's a wonderful subjective speaker and raises great discussion, however.

No, primarily because as Community Manager, you can only say what the devs say is okay to say. If there were more freedoms, than hell yeah, Sols can be the bridge between the community and the developers.

5 RespuestasHaven't studied his posts but I seen quite a few and they all been him on here shit talking even to other players who are unhappy about the op thorn his grimoire is low as hell and he doesn't play a lot of the new content just talks shit about it
