Hunters gunslinger need buff in pvp

Ok. Not the gunslinger itself. Grenades and throwing knife are so ridiculous. trip mine grenades? 195 damage when they're standing right in front of it and also can be avoided by sliding. Also won't kill a res warlock with a stick in the face. Throwing knife? Right, only if you've shot them at least twice and it hits their head (which also requires the most skill melee of any class...) Come on...why are they so weak?? Their supers are good don't get me wrong, but think of how often you get supers vs. other abilities in the game and it kind of puts in into perspective.

  • If you are petitioning for more armor for gg it needs to be 2 shots to be lethal, or just keep it the same, they are NOT in need of a change

  • My only complaint is the trip mine, I've had people literally stand in front of it and take little to no damage. It's great when it works but when someone gives it a hug and comes away unscathed I'm a bit annoyed

    • I think the titan melee is the hardest in the game, you have to be within 0.00000001cm to actually deal damage.

    • Gunslinger isn't meant to be the multi kill beast class it's more of a flanking/support class where you pick people off until you get your super then rush (get at least 2-3 kills) with your super then drop back and repeat while using trip mines to cover flags and rushing hallways along with using your primary+throwing knives for shotgunners. A hawkmoon sniper set up can be op if your landing headshots stacked with gunslingers trance.

    • I main a gunslinger and I think it's fine. Maybe only make the throwing knife a one hit kill to the head but that's it

    • I just want the throwing knife buffed. I really hate it when I hit someone in the head with it get the critical hit have the burn for a bit and not die I hate it. I say buff the throwing knifes base damage to do more with out the burn and with the burn buff the time it lasts.

    • I believe the stick around metal is one of my top 5 most earned medals so it definitely is a beast melee. it's grenades are to support you in getting a kill or to guard a check point. not to necessarily get the kill on its own. the golden gun is by far the best pvp super in the game (my opinion of course) so it being fragile is a definite must.

Gunslinger is a good class... You need to buff yours skill not a class.... Throwing knife is a killing machine if someone know how to use it

      • well, I agree that a lot of the perks on the subclass are lackluster. Yay we finally get two melee abilities! Oh, wait. It's two throwing knives. And in the one column where you get keyhole, scavenger, and chain of woe. It's like, none of those are really good. However on a warlock I'm pretty sure that's where bloom and Viking funeral are... Hunters as a whole are a bit lackluster, but IMO that's what makes them fun. Doing well with a class that's a bit lower down. Bladedancers are pretty good though mainly because of QuickDraw. The arc blade is easily shit down with a shotgun melee and the blink strike isn't that special

        • Alright listen up so i can tell you how stupid you are No sticky grenade will kill a self rez warlock The tripmine is in fact a grenade that can stick to you which will instakill you if you dont have an armor buff The throwing knife hitbox makes it virtually impossible to miss at close range so its basically a punch

          • How about Bladedancer grenades?? I've tried all 3 and unless I'm just doing something wrong it's like throwing a nerf ball at someone.

gunslingers should have quickdraw, not blade dancers. that one perk alone is the main reason i prefer blade dance to gunslinger

              • Tbh, gunslinger needs a slight boost in speed and the QuickDraw perk. Grenades and melee is fine in my opinion. It's just that its the slowest class in the game with minimal to no effective passive abilities.

              • I admit I main warlock and know nothing but I do play A LOT of crucible. I think gunslingers personally need a nerf. - First of all, reduce the grenade damage to 150 it's stupidly overpowered especially with the gauntlets, the Spine of Ahamkara I think, I mean seriously they can kill an entire team in seconds -Second, the knife takes skill and is pretty much a backup 100-150 damage range hit if you are in a pinch -Finally, stop complaining about the super it is basically a 3-4 man insta kill that adds on with combustion with range while we other class get like what 1-2 kills average at melee range.

                • Class is fine, only gun oriented class which it should be. Also has best super in the game which makes up for everything else it lacks. People actually use knives? Lol

                  • im a full time gunslinger and i think that that they do not need a buff rather that the other classes need to be brought down to gunslingers level.

                  • Tripmines feel like they need a buff because everyone is scrubbing it up with max armor. Maybe a buff to 210 damage would be acceptable, but there's so much wrong with the Gunslinger it won't change much. Still my preferred class because its fun, but it falls flat compared to others.

Gunslinger main here! Top 8% in kills per-game with my Hunter (Top 6% on my Titan) according to Destiny Tracker. At this point in the game I actually recommend learning how to pull bounced throws with an Incendiary, it's a strong team-oriented tool that allows you to keep shields low and assist teammates without actually engaging. Dealing solid damage with the blast is a nice bonus. Especially with more and more players learning to use more Armor. Throwing Knives are actually the most powerful melee to use against Shoulder Charge Titans, Shotguns, and Bladedancers, use Incendiary Blade to keep them from regenerating health should they catch up to you with Hungering Blade. They do require some proficiency, but their high skill ceiling mixed with predictable enemies allow you to often catch the enemy without letting them see you. Triple Jump is fantastic. Not Blink-level awesome but it allows for a lot of interesting plays. That said if you're planning to stay airborne and dealing damage from their use Better Control instead as using a jump on a Hunter causes a period where your guns are unavailable until a short animation ends. Try to keep Scavenger active, picking up ammo makes for more Incendiary procs and that helps you team more than most may know as well as give you a little more elbow room in encounters by tossing a 'nade around the corner to get a head above your quarry. For the final tree it depends largely on you, if you're a Sniper you may find yourself at a range where hitting a target with a GG shot won't one-off them, especially if they're rocking an overshield/active Super. That said, Chain of Woe isn't much felt in PvP but can work with the right weapons (particularly anything with Reactive Reload). But for the most general use that second Knife will come in handy in securing a kill whether you're rocking high Disc or Strength and with Scavenger you're going to be tossing them frequently. Proof to my claim: http://destinytracker.com/destiny/crucible/xbox/Ash%20Tenno I'm not the best, but I've proven capable.
