It's five points per kill. Just stop going negative and you'll be fine

I shared this about a month ago with another person struggling with the Thorn Bounty (Btw, it's only 100+ kills, as you get 5 points per kill, I say '+' because of course you lose 2 points each time you die.) Anyway, this is a little long, but hope it helps at least a little if you take the time to read it: I'm terrible at PVP (just check my stats). Yet I've done the Thorn bounty three times, and with all 3 characters, and never using a primary void. Since I really don't like PVP, I always wait and do the bounty during the Iron Banner, so I can multi-task. I always use the Plug One.1 void fusion rifle, that thing is a beast. The range for 1 hit kills is pretty absurd to be honest. As my heavy I usually run corrective measure, but any slower firing, high impact (with decent range) machine gun will work fine. Follow these ten steps and even if you are a terrible player, you can complete Thorn without cheating (I should know since I did it three times this way.) 1. Always play Control: This is where the casual players are heavily concentrated, and usually only playing to do bounties, plus you know where most people are going to be; on, or around the control points. 2. Watch your radar, and if you see more than a single blip, run awa..er, tactically retreat if you are by yourself. 3. If you are trying to push the advantage, and not camping a control point, then always run with a team mate, preferably them in front of you as a meat shiel...er, fellow ally in arms. 4. Play with the weapons you are most comfortable with, just get/use a void version of them (Example: If you suck with shot-guns, and try to run with them, its not likely to help.) 5. Make sure you are wearing proper gear that is designed for PVP. Sometimes that extra grenade, ability to use your melee more often, or reload your special weapon can make a subtle, yet large difference over time. 6. If at all possible, run with an actual fireteam. Even if they aren't that great at PVP, you will be able to shoot the shit with them, and enjoy yourself a lot more, which will keep the stress of doing the bounty from building so badly if you are dealing with it alone. 7. If in the first few minutes your opposing team gets 'Strength of the Wolf'; just go to orbit. Trust me. That team is kicking your ass, and its not likely to change the whole match, you will slide backwards on your bounty. 8. Playing on the weekends, and especially Monday is key. The try-hards will be in Trials of Osiris, and most players have Destiny fatigue by Monday, and are resting up for reset on Tuesday (*Also if Iron Banner is running, this works even better if you play regular crucible.) 9. Don't play angry and frustrated. I mean this, you will make mistakes, you will do stupid things, and you will screw up. This is a tactic that many douchebags in PVP will actually use. They'll t-bag/dance over your body, just to piss you off and make you charge blindly into their trap. If you get truly aggravated, take a break and come back later. The bounty isn't going anywhere. 10. If all else fails and you see yourself getting slaughtered especially when Heavy Ammo drops, you can do the unthinkable... that's right, go back to orbit after the first few minutes of each match when heavy ammo drops (though if your team is doing good, usually this is a good time to press forward with them and make more kills, but if you are already losing, sometimes its best to quite literally, quit while ahead. You have to quite literally die 3 times for every 1 kill to lose progress. The Thorn bounty is a challenge for crappy players such as myself, but it is not even close to impossible, unless you make it that way. Good luck!

Tip - deleting the bounty glitches it and auto completes it. Once you delete it the bounty tracker will re give you the bounty.

Go on lfg, do the vault of glass on normal to get atheon's epilogue, use that with a void special weapon and heavy, and preferably a void subclass, and you will get those kills in no time. Good luck!

I can't get an exotic bounty period. I once turned in 20 bounties at once and didn't get one. Although a bit of advice that my three other raid group members that have thorn is to use the Atheons epilogue, the word of Crota or an adept trials or phase two prison of elders primary. If you don't have access to either of those weapons than be sure to have a void special and heavy and if applicable a void subclass.
