You see it all the time. "Music today is absolute shit. I wish we could go back to times when music was actually decent." The truth of the matter is, the "shit" you are referring to will eventually be forgotten, while the true artistry will be remembered for years to come. Frank Sinatra, Elvis, The Beatles, The Who, Pink Floyd, Guns n' Roses, Nirvana, they are now legends. People still listen to their songs, and will continue for god knows how long. Remember LMFAO? I'm Sexy and I Know It? They basically fell off the face of the Earth. Their music will go down as nothing more than a fad, and be ignored entirely by future generations. This is what eventually happens to every artist that just panders to the lowest common denominator. So, what modern artists will be remembered as legends? Imagine Dragons? Kanye West? Katy Perry?
