True 34

So I'm starting to think that the light level in Destiny has been botched. Here's why. The general consensus that Im seeing is people are not okay with players having 3 34s, and not a single VOG or CE completion. I understand their plight. Why should a player have access to the stop tier game mode in Destiny when 80% of the players cannot successful run relic or sword because they've never even had to do so? The right for MAX level should be reserved for players who have MAXED their character. Yes Trials of Osiris does a decent job at making some players feel top-tier...but with the new economy of buying flawless that's almost taken away. Plus it's almost laughable to see somebody with a flawless emblem. ( yes I have not gone flawless, but I understand the players that have that feel this way.) Solution anyone? This dawned on me when I was in the bathroom. (Of course) Make the pre requisite for attaining MAX level, similar to the moments of triumph with the exception of the mechanic revolving around armor. I.e To reach 34 a player must have equipped and maxed out: 1 exotic piece of gear 1 piece of gear from VOG 1 piece of gear from CE (or Eris) 1 piece of Gear from Skolas(or the queen 1 piece of gear from Trials of Osiris (With the exotic piece interchangeable between IB gear, faction gear, and vanguard) This armor set would suggest that said character has indeed completed the main focal points that Destiny has to offer, and therefor deserves to be MAX level... Now obviously this is just a sandbox idea... But it feels much more rewarding than the current level up structure. And much more fair to veteran players. Edit 1: this is about the future of destiny, not about people who desperately want a crutch to get to 34. The game was much harder in the forever 29 days where you HAD to VoG a million times over to reach MaX. The was the golden ticket. Edit 2: those of you who look at my profile and assume I'm not a day one player because I have 10 days of play time... I have a 3 year old daughter, and I traveled across the country this last year. So yes I haven't had the time. I welcome all intellectual, creative comments. Elitists, and bantering will just be ignored. This post is about fruition. About interchanging knowledge. Remember that. Edit 3: if there is anyone on PSN that needs help with either Raid or Skolas, I will help you. Just add me Omnipresence_7. I want you guys to experience what makes DESTINY, destiny.

  • I always find it funny how often players feel they are owed something for playing more of the game than other people. You got your reward for playing through Vault of Glass, Crota and Poe35. It was called 'playing the game'. The need to feel like a special snowflake over people who didn't do those activities is understandable, but it's distracted you from the reason for playing the game in the first place. If you're wasting energy getting aggrieved at what everyone else gets, you're the one missing out.
