Yet somehow walking on 800F degree Mercury in the same gear we wear on Earth and without any difference in gravity is in the realm of science?
Good thing science fiction is not real science and that makes it entirely possible in a video game.

Oops about mercury it is also within the realm of science possible to create shielded bases or small areas where you could "live" for a short period of time.

Editado por GrundleBeans: 7/27/2015 12:48:05 AMThat does not explain Destiny though nor explain away the lack of difference in gravity. There's no way you would be able to walk around on the surface in full view of the sun unshielded. And of course what you're saying is all theoretical propositions.
-
Exactly. But its not possible to survive on jupiter or saturn even in theory. And just because destiny does not explain how does not mean its magic. Occams razor. The logical conclusion is the one i gave.

Editado por GrundleBeans: 7/27/2015 1:12:27 AMDoesn't matter. It's fiction. Fiction. Explained or otherwise they can do whatever they want, whether it disregards real life theories or not. You having evidence of theories that say it's possible to terraform Venus, stand on Mercury, and not possible to stand on Jupiter are inconsequential, irrelevant. They have already done many things that go outside of theory into the realm of realistically impossible, pseudo fake science, or are downright unexplained. So the logical conclusion is that real life scientific theories do not apply to a video game, because they are a product of imagination.

No no no. Bungie keeps in the realm of science with destiny. We will never walk on jupiter, saturn or any other gas planet. And until we do you have no sound argument. And if you use the fiction argument one more time it is clear you are just trolling.
-
Editado por GrundleBeans: 7/27/2015 5:44:31 PMThat is not a valid argument... Like at all. It's a complete fallacy of your own to say that because X hasn't happened it can't happen. As stated and provable, Bungie only keeps to laws partially and inconsistently as they so choose. When there are no concrete laws being followed by a video game and scientific reasoning can be made up, then rules and laws are malleable or ignorable. If you can't accept that fiction is a valid argument when talking about a fictional game, then you have no sense. With fiction it is always within the realm of possibility to do anything, whether they've done it already or not. Thats why the -blam!- it's called fiction.
-
Because that argument makes no sense. Look we are not getting anywhere. Im tired of trying to explain basic concepts on these forums and you are too stupid to understand it any way. Therefore you are now muted for stupidity.

I stand correct.

Its is also entirely in the realm of science to terraform venus in to a habitable planet with liveable temperatures.
