I want to share my feelings about Skolas.
I hate him. Like, with a strong passion. Serious headache.
We can bring his health down pretty quickly with a Ghorn, but we only had one. God I hate him lol

I'm not a big fan of PoE in itself mainly due to crap rewards. That said I like the direction they are going with the skolas fight once burns are removed. It requires a few key things that I think are important skills to master to earn endgame rewards. One being survivability. If you can't stay alive under serious pressure and a lot of chaos you're going to fail. In fact you need at least two people who can and ideally 3 people. Secondly you have to be able to communicate well. The second you stop communicating about the poison somebody goes down. Third being on the fly strategy. What to do when this mine is coming up but this person has the poison and that person can't take it. Those split second decisions on how to proceed will make or break your success at skolas.

1 RespuestaI'm with you. I beat him with solar burn once. I tried him another time with lightswitch and small arms weeks ago and we kept failing after about 3 hours of play(1 1/2 at skolas alone). I don't know if I'll ever bother with him again

Before patch he was a bore. Now it actually has mechanics and is fun. It's like a 3 man raid. Probably one of my favorite fights in the game

2 RespuestasRan skolas in the w.e for the first time. It aint even hard. Some of the bosses on the 34s are harder than skolas lol. But silly me didnt have a key so no shader ship or banner for me.... Bugger.. round 2 with a key this time!!

It's not a science dude, the adds only spawn now when his health is at certain points. That means you can kill ALL of them, do some damage to Skolas and then kill the next round of adds when they spawn

Beat him no problems 2 hunters and a warlock one gally one truth one ash factory first try no wipes

1 RespuestaYou needed a GHorn to bring his health down? I get that it's an OP rocket launcher, and many players rely on its power to kill bosses fast, but seriously, come on. If you're having too much trouble, kill the enemies, focus him. When another wave of enemies comes, kill that wave and the focus him again. Takes time, but works. Mines? Kill waves while dismantling. Work as a team

Yeah man we tried on Sunday , got his health to a third and kept messing up because we were getting frustrated so we backed out after 2hours and discussed what we had learnt. It wasn't defeat it was a learning experience. We will get him next time.

All you need is a daily doze of dingleberries. Drink that with a Draught of Nectar and some Gjallahorn extract and you're good. Drink 3 btw, Otherwise it'll be impossible.

Ghorn is not how you beat Skolas.
