There are two definitions there. Neither definition is incorrect, and choosing the more specific one does not make me wrong.

Whilst it may look like both those definitions are for the same thing, they are not. A specific subsection of atheists believe that there is no God. It is true to say that some atheists believe there is no God, and it is also true to say that a branch of atheism believes there is no God, but to say 'atheism is the belief that there is no God' is misleading because it implies that if you are an atheist then you believe there is no God, which is wrong because many would reject that claim.

I didn't say that they're the same, I said that I'm correct according to one accepted definition. Other people identifying as atheist under the more inclusive definition but not the less inclusive one still does not make the less inclusive one incorrect.
