Even Forbes agrees, nerfing Gjallarhorn and Thorn are exactly the wrong move for Bungie, not to mention breaking Black Hammer. Bungie, you just tanked your TTK sales. Good luck in the future Bungie. You're going to need it.

3 RespuestasBungie is a mess. It never fails to amaze me of the choices they make. I can't believe they are going to destroy blackhammer. ..8 sec for a round in ice breaker..what the hell? Don't care about thorn. .but gjallarhorn...are u serious? Regardless if people want to hate on Forbes posters us vets feel the same way. They seem to want to make us pissed off.
-
Bungie is making good changes, they won't even affect gameplay that much. I'll be glad to see more variety in the game.
BH, Ghorn, and Thorn are all still going to be amazing guns even after the nerf
24 RespuestasWhat is wrong with this generation of gamer , so selfish and so entitled, bungie wants it's community to challenge themselves with new gear and stop crutching on the old. Take this weeks nightfall strike as reason enough to nerf the Gjallahorn, it trivializes boss fights. Black hammer is just as game breaking and the ice breaker encourages hyper camping. The nerfs are a good thing the only people that are complaining are the ones that can't get shit done without their crutches, why not wait to see what the patch does before crying like overgrown man children.

I didn't read the whole article, but Bungie has said in the past that they want each weapon type to have its moment of strength. It was auto rifles, and then it was hand cannons, etc. I just view this as a lazy way of avoiding weapon balancing when you instead make something the strongest intentionally because you expect to change it later.

Destiny is not an mmo. This article has dick for relevancy. You can't "power up" other things cause then it turns into cod

Editado por s420srh: 7/21/2015 2:31:02 PMPussies that need crutches for this game need to leave so they can make a challenging game like it originally was. Leave bitch

Nerfing Thorn was a NEEED
-
Didn't Forbes write an article a few months back calling for a thorn and Gjallarhorn nerf? Yeah Forbes is retarded. Not even remotely close to "experts"
-
Yes thorn needed a nerf ... screw off
-
Forbes is wrong dead wrong!!!!!!!
-
More people will leave if a weapon rebalance isn't put in soon. So i highly doubt its the wrong move. Only people that seem to be pissed are the thorn users. Which I'm glad that thorn cant out range a scout rifle now
-
HAHAHA!!!
Forbes...really?
-
Lol forbes...
-
Nah they needed to nerf thorn. Everything else was fine
-
Forbes? Their gaming articles are done by gamer people like you and me, it's just one man's opinion, it's not like the whole company of Forbes stands behind what this "writer" is saying.
-
Forbes articles are trash and will hire anybody to post things on the internet.

Forbes confirmed dirty shrub

2 RespuestasThe most ridiculous part of that article was the "balance up" statement. Whereas I can agree with the logic, it's one of those things that in this game would only work in theory and not practice. The issue currently with Thorn, TLW, and Hawkmoon is their fast ttk. Balancing UP to that would just create more weapons with very high TTK. No longer would combat occur, merely "who shot first" scenarios if they balanced everything UP instead of tweaking some things down. Just my 2 cents. Also...they write an article few weeks back about Bungie needing to nerf Ghorn and Thorn. Now since people are crying on the forums about it - they've decided to write an article about how it was dumb. This is called social media marketing people, don't assume these guys are "experts".
-
Yes Forbes knows more about Destiny than its makers
-
1 RespuestaI forgot that Forbes was a video game developer. Jolly good show.

2 RespuestasEditado por MLN_Toad: 7/21/2015 1:48:47 PMBlack hammer is broken right now unlimited ammo if you continue to hit critical spots Sounds broken to me, gally wolf pack rounds deal a ton of damage it needs a balance to make boss fights actually fights not like a walk in the park, thorn to much range not enough kick and far to destructive in pvp I have it but refuse to use it anymore glad it's getting balanced, they are trying to create balance yes there boss' are sponges but look at the big picture year one is almost over and look how far the game has already come, put your big boy pants on and wait for the 2.0 update to drop before you listen to Forbes about anything they don't make video games the writer is probably pissed his thorn and gally are getting balanced.

3 RespuestasEditado por McCREE: 7/21/2015 1:34:35 PMThat is clickbait trash. Tabloid journalism at best. And I use the term 'journalism' lightly. Those asshats have written a half a dozen 'articles' about the importance of nerfing Thorn. Now that they've nerfed Thorn, suddenly doing so is detrimental to the game? Fuck Forbes and their hypocritical bullshit. They troll the forums to find divisive subject matter, pick a side and shame the other. It doesn't matter that they've 'written' the opposite on multiple occasions. They're as bad as the worst ambulance-chasing attorney. Only looking for hits on the website; absolutely zero journalistic integrity. Trash.

2 RespuestasForbes rights an article about nerfing those weapons and how the game needs it. Then those weapons get nerfed, Forbes then writes an article saying they should have never nerfed those weapons. Makes sense.....

Editado por monzta_beatz: 7/21/2015 1:42:17 PMOnly things that needed a nerd were the exotic hand cannons and auto rifles needed a buff. Same with pulse rifles

Ya I was just about to pre order when this came out glad I waited still haven't made a decision yet.
