So for Bungie Day all we get is an EMBLEM. A USELESS, WORTHLESS, PIECE OF GARBAGE EMBLEM! And to top it all off, the only way to get said emblem is by completing a multitude of tasks. Granted those tasks aren't anything ridiculous but why bother completing them? There is nothing good waiting for you once completed. At least for Christmas we were given a (legendary) weapon engram with no requirements needed to obtain. I'm not saying I want an exotic weapon engram for Bungie Day (1. Because it'll never happen and 2. I doubt I'll ever get my first Gjallarhorn even though I've been playing since Day 1), but something more practical and useful would be greatly appreciated especially if we have to work for it.
After how poorly The Taken King bundles/prices and RedBull(shit) promotion were received by the Destiny fanbase one would think Bungie might pull its head out of its rear end, but nope, Bungie keeps insulting the Destiny fans with useless items and tone deaf listening.
Btw I'm still extremely pissed off that Day 1 players still have to spend $20 on top of the $40 Taken King expansion to get the new damn class items. MAKE THEM FREE TO DAY 1 PLAYERS
Honestly, why do I bother writing/complaining? I doubt DeeJ or whatever stupid nickname he wants to be called will listen. Heck, I doubt anyone at Bungie will even read and address this. They're all to busy eating a Gjallarhorn shaped cake. I don't normally say things like this but unless things change real soon Bungie, I hope that Taken King sales or Destiny 2 sales suck. $500 million spent on an INCOMPLETE game and you ask fans for more money. What on earth did you spend that $500 million on? Sure doesn't look like it was spent on this game. Maybe it was spent on that cake. You've lost touch with the fanbase and have absolutely no respect for them. Because of that, why should we have any respect for you?
Update: 16 hours later and people are still commenting. I find it a little sad that people are still commenting. I just wanted to express my opinion. Don't like it? Okay. Move on then. All I hear from people who disagree is the same thing "wah crybaby", " entitled piece of garbage", etc. Have fun continue playing a game that will never come close to what we were promised.

3 RespuestasCry some more about NOT having a gjallarhorn. NO way anybody has been playing since Day1 and doesn't have like 6 Gjallarhorns received by now. If you don't ....well then you play MINIMAL amounts of destiny in order to go that long without it. And/Or you don't do all 3 characters thru all weekly available rewards and chances to obtain said rocket launcher you are incredibly butthurt over not having. I've dismantled 5 Gjallarhorns, and I have one one all 3 characters. So you aren't doing something correct. Likely you aren't running 3x hard mode vaults per week, 3x hard mode crota, 3x nightfalls, and 3x prison 34 and prison 35. If you do all that weekly and DON'T have Gjallarhorn, then you're lying about being a "Day 1 player". Or you just never play, in which case you can't really toss around "Day 1 player" like it has any significance to you NOT obtaining a certain Rocket launcher, because if you were a daily player you would have deleted about 5 to 10 excess Gjallies by now.

1 RespuestaJust asserting my opinion, Destiny cost $500 million to make, and Bungie doesn't have the money to jsut, pay that back to Activision. Bungie is still considered relatively small compared to Activision, and Bungie earned the rights to Destiny. So, of the profits that Bungie makes, Bungie must give Activision a large percentage of those profits because of the financial support Activision supplied and the developmental aid they gave. When Destiny released, the sales almost broke even with developmental costs of the game, so at that point, Bungie was set, right? Wrong. Activision's name isn't on the game, which is a good business move on their part. Since Activision doesn't own the rights to the game and doesn't have their name ANYWHERE on the game, they can continually charge Bungie for their service because they have the technology that developed the game, Activision has so much money that it could basically pull out of supporting Destiny and it wouldn't really affect them, and they could bankrupt and ruin Bungie. And Bungie can't do anything to get out of this contract they've signed because they were dedicated to producing a game that they've been hyping up for years. So, to make this money, they had to compromise. To continue to carry out that promise of bringing this game to its loyal Bungie community, it had to do what Activision does best. DLC. To continue to have Activision's support with Destiny, they cut out some of the storyline, gameplay elements, and other things to sell them later so that we could play a game that, yes, is very fragmented and hard to understand if you don't read the grimoire or focus, but we come together with our friends to make a fireteam, and have a good time while you take on the Darkness in raids, patrols, and strikes.

Bungie day have me my -blam!-ing Vex for the first time, so I don't care, I'm all for bungie day.

I Completed them all before the emblem was around. Don't play for the emblem. Just do as you normally would. You'll be bored of it soon enough.

Why is anyone surprised....really come on... What have Bungie given away in the past that was big and interesting... Pumpkin heads, Sparrow, An engram Really what did you expect, Bungie believes in small token (that require no significant resourcing), if you want a real Bungie day pay for the TTK, as everytime they release paid content that is effectively the real Bungie day...

Ah good old Bungie Day, I remember playing the 7 on the 7th playlist in Halo: 3, getting Light switch and such like it was only yesterday. Keeping a positive KDR in that game, getting rank 50 in each playlist, vidmasters...oh my goodness I had such good times. That would have been amazing for a playlist in Destiny, more good memories to be made, but I'm content with what we are given. Bungie Day is exactly what it is, Bungie Day. We as the community celebrate the day and are given goodies to help remember the day. I will admit that this Bungie Day is different from what I had expected, but I won't complain.

"Completing a multitude of tasks" ??? If you play the game all of the "multitude of tasks" are complete. So it is a free shitty worthless emblem for doing nothing extra.

I'm sorry all I heard was whining. Don't like it don't play. Simple as that. Go play another game like most are. Don't buy the next dlc. All are better options than posting in the forums where the community is more poisonous than thorn's dot.

4 RespuestasDid you ever play Halo? Bungie never gave out a lot of stuff on Bungie day. More a celebration than anything.
-
For Bungie day, you did not get an emblem, you got told how to get an emblem as an additional reward for being a year one player. Oh, also an updated web page with a few more functions.
-
So since you don't have a ghallarhorn you're looking for a handout?

28 RespuestasEditado por Masaking7: 7/8/2015 11:53:06 AMI -blam!-ing hate people like you. Do you think bungie owes you anything? They don't. They made the game. Isn't that enough. Oh no of course not, they should give everyone 10 free Gjallarhorns for doing nothing in bungie day. Would you really rather a legendary weapon engram? If you need that, you shouldn't even get the year one shit! If you're unhappy with TTK price, don't -blam!-ing buy it. It's not more in the uk, it's not £40, it's £25! I'm a day one player also. Get over it. You're not getting stuff for free, that's not how the world works. Do you understand that deej is the community manager. Let me say that again. He's the community manager! Not the ceo of bungie, not the lead-developer, the community manager. You are constantly complaining about not having a gjallarhorn. ITS RNG, you're not guaranteed anything with RNG. I don't care if you don't Have it and no one else cares either. If you need gjallarhorn to play, obviously you are unskilled. Bungie has no respect for people like you because you think they owe you. You don't understand that they are people and have to be paid. You complain about the game and continue to play. Leave these forums and we can be one step closer to cleansing b.net from plagues like you.

What's the big deal? Don't like it? Then don't do the tasks. That simple. I mean for Bungie Day back in Halo 3 all we got was an achievement.
