A bit tactless of bungie to say that 7/7 is destiny day or bungie day or whatever they're calling it, when it's a day that was wrought with terror for Londoners. I doubt people would appreciate it if they called 9/11 bungie day just because they happened to release their game that day (I know they didn't). But still it's the principal of the matter

What's the big gift from bungie?

1 RespuestaDude, bungie day was before the bombings and it'll be here after. What if someones birthday was on September 11 before 9/11 happened? They wouldnt reschedule the birthday.

3 RespuestasYou do realize something has happened on every day. You must be the most morose motherfu/cker in the world if this upsets you

I understand the situation and can see the frustration, but traumatic events are one we should try to put past ourselves. Honor those we have lost, but do not let the day be ruined by such events because only then have the terrorists truly achieved their goal. Today is the 7th, simply a number that also has ties to the seven columns of Bungie. They did not mean to offend anyone and it was even the community that decided the date for them. The community then was not "all American," but multinational and presumably included UK players who understood why the date was chosen.

11 RespuestasEditado por Sloob, Grinder of Balls: 7/7/2015 2:05:57 PMK. Let's make a big deal about it. I wouldn't care if Bungie day was on 9/11. It happened in the past, yes it was a national tragedy, yes many people died, but it happened over 10 years ago. Time to let shit go.

2 RespuestasAs a fellow brit, I take no offense of bungie day. Bungie have had an obsession with the number 7 since probably marathon days, or earlier, bungie day (the 7th of the 7th (notice the 7's)) has been celebrated by bungie for years - since before the UK atrocities. If you want to rage quit at someone, rage quit at the bombers for ruining bungie day. To bungie, have a great day of gaming and relaxation. Every creative needs a break in order to create.

They've been celebrating Bungie day since 2007,it was started by fans, and they are likely aware of it with this whole thing called Google

They could of picked tomorrow, the day I scraped my knee when I fell off my bike as a kid. Traumatic event really
-
In this world everyday falls on the day of a damn bombing.
-
I'm sure you could find one atrocity or another for every day in the calender. Should we just quit celebrating anything positive and only focus on the negative things in the past? To use your 9/11 comparison, if you're birthday happened to fall on September 11th, are you not allowed to ever celebrate your birthday because of that tragedy? There's a big difference between being "tactless" and moving forward with your life.

I share a birthday with Angelina Jolie

You sound like a really boring friend that is always bringing the group down with stupid shit like this

Editado por itsYell: 7/7/2015 2:25:37 PMJuly 7th (1996) was also the day where Nelson Mandela stepped down as President of South Africa! :( HOW COULD YOU BUNGIE?!
EDIT: This was also the day (back in 1124) where Tyrus surrendered to Crusaders! Really BUNGIE, really? :(

Its sad how you don't want any companies having a Community Day just because of a bombing that went on in London. Sure, it was tragic, but it was in the past. Just forget about it and celebrate better things!

Perhaps you could suggest an alternative date that isn't somewhere, for someone, a tragic anniversary.
-
Dude, something has happened just about every day. Would you rather remember a day for a violent attack or something more positive?
-
2 Respuestas4/20 is also Hitlers birthday.... Damn -godwinslaw!- worshipping stoners

7/7 is also the day Lt. Colonel Christopher Carson launched a famously ferocious campaign against the Indians of New Mexico and Arizona, razing their lands and force-marching them to internment 300 miles away. There isn't a day in the whole calendar you can't find some atrocity or other. Some are older, some are newer. Please don't go all American and claim that 7/7 must be full of prayer and flags and bake-offs so 'the terrorists don't win'. Bungie can call it whatever the hell they want and it's not going to bother the British.

The principle of the matter is Bungie Day happened before my city got terrorised. Foolish post
-
Huh, I posted something on this too. Infact the post I did was removed and I got an official warning saying I posted something offensive.

07/07 was created by the community. That's when we celebrate the community. It's about the player, not the game. https://t.co/FuLQ2i4GOR
