SKOLAS IS TOO HARD!!!!
I just spent 3 hours at the boss battle to no success. I give up. I die in a second from ads, not to mention Skolas. If he shoots anywhere near you, the splash damage hits you. There are way too many ads during the mines, making it incredibly hard. If you're not invisible, you're -blam!-ed.
I propose that either Skolas should have 25% less health, or that there are [b]guardian only elemental burns.[/b]
It's just too hard as it is. When Bungie "nerfed" Skolas, they actually made it way harder than before.

Can be frustrating until you learn the map. The best strategy for me is to go left to high spot against the wall and work boss till adds spawn. Once adds spawn, clear the ones by the door ASAP. All other adds will move to left side of map (the side your on). Once your overwhelmed, all three move to platform in the back right side. Continue on adds until only Skolas is left. DPS boss until adds. Rinse and repeat until mines. Do not forget about essence. A trick to that is if you have a lock and you get separated, the lock can die with it and self Rez. This buys you Aprox 30 seconds with no essence on the map. Once mines are up, everyone dps adds HARD (heavy works on minor adds pretty well even with the primary burn). I think it's easier if all three move to mines with lightswitch on. Strength in numbers and the mines dismantle hella fast. Just have to watch adds. If one guy has to split off to peel Skolas from the group that works too. This person has to stay moving and in the air (scorch cannon has low velocity so very easy to avoid). Same strat as before until mines. Then do mines again. Finish the boss how you see fit. This encounter isn't too terrible if you stay very mobile and always make adds top priority.

It actually is easier. It's just the -blam!-ing ads and lightswitch that make this go around reallly challenging.

You're too -blam!-ing bad. Thats it. If you cant handle dismantling six mines, and staying together so that you can click 'x' every thirty seconds then I am not sure what to tell you. Ive done Skolas six times now, twice post nerf.

Get good and try again.

It's a 30 minute flight. Lower health, kill ads, lower health, work on mines, kill ads, repeat as necessary.

Editado por srtcrazy05: 6/26/2015 4:33:47 PMim assuming you are just trying to melt him asap. not gonna work. the adds come out based on his health. kill the adds, damage him rinse and repeat. the mines are also based on his damage. so kill the adds, hurt him then handle mines. it isnt that hard dude. i will admit, when they dropped the burns it took a lil while to get the technique down. from one to the next, it took us two hours the first time and 30 minutes the next time(while doing it with one person who had never done 35)

This wasn't a nerf. Bungie cut his health in half but now you are doing only one third of the damage. This makes it impossible to kill Skolas in a minute and skipping the mechanics of the fight.

Kill the snipers soon as they spawn. Make sure youre moving together and proper poison rotation. The fights supposed to be hard.

You need a strategy. Ads spawn based on his health, as well as mines. Make sure you only focus on the ads and take them all out before you damage skolas or defuse mines. Keep rotating around the outside

Skolas is easier then he had ever been. You are losing because you don't know how to operate with the mechanics of the fight. Me and my fireteam even when burns were on beat him using the mechanics of the fight. Now we can beat him every time first try. Learn the fight. Don't sit here and whine you can't beat him.

When my team does it we take out skills health. Then kill all the ads that spawn before taking out more health. Since ads spawn according to his hp just clear them all out then work on skills together. First round of mines spawn around 50% hp so before you make the ads spawn make sure to clear out the ads and make sure all 3 is revived. Whoever is poisoned stick with whoever is gonna be handed off to next to cap a mine then the other guy stay on opposite end of map to cap the other mine then meet in the middle mine to pass it off and cap the last mine. It's not too hard just gotta learn the mechanics
