Ban length?
Serious question dudes please be civil and post any information you have about how long bans last. Bungie has given no info on how long the bans are and has been real shady in their "warnings" before any bans.
If you are here to troll think if your post is actually funny.
*Saying "Your ban is forever" or something along those lines is not humorous so rethink your life of you're gonna post something like that.
If anyone can help it'd be greatly appreciated!

Actually, my life and my life in destiny got a whole lot better after the banhammer swung hard. I DO hope its a perma-ban! You ppl don't realize how you can ruin someone's experience who might be great til they cross paths with you. Like a team at 8 wins, then u quit and rob them of their journey to the lighthouse? Or maybe after you ip flood them, they have an emergency and can't call for help because their phone package is connected and dependent on their internet being available, but instead, a disaster occurs just so you can go flawless? Good!! I'm having more fun knowing you got caught instead of playing the game! The only thing I am upset about is knowing that your ban won't be permanent and you'll infect pvp again at some point. Please go back to cod so this game and community can get better.

Depends on what you were banned for... If for backing out of ToO - up to 3-4 weeks If for lag switching/DDoSing or hacking the game (mods) - permanent If for kicking people right before the end of strikes(night falls) or PoE or raids multiple times and getting reported for it - up to 3-4 weeks Can't say how accurate this is...just some info I saw on reddit. Hope it helps

By taking actions that resulted in a ban, someone who's been banned doesn't have any right or need to know how long said ban will last. What makes the ban such a powerful deterrent is the fact that there aren't strict guidelines that specify how long a ban lasts. Would you rob a bank if there was a chance you could get off Scott-free? Would you still rob the bank if there was an equal chance of serving 1 day, 1 year, or a lifetime in prison? Obviously real life scenarios and prison sentences carry much larger implications for everyone involved and there are defined crimes and sentences. I'm just trying to make you think. The point is... Do you want to get banned? If you answered NO, then don't do ANYTHING that you are well aware could result in you getting banned. If you want to live on the edge and take risks, that's your decision but don't come to the forums asking how long bans last, don't try to convince others that you didn't deserve it or that you didn't know, and don't expect sympathy from the rest of us who choose to abide by socially acceptable standards.

10 RespuestasI would feel bad for you or your friends ban. But I don't. If you cheated at all during anything, you deserve to stay banned. The ban length is obscure for the soul purpose of allowing you to rethink your actions. So, like bungie Said, if you were banned it is either temporary, and a long temporary, or permanent. And you can't know which you are, and they didn't say or hint at how long a temp one is. So lesson is this: don't cheat. Don't do anything to get banned.

9 RespuestasI'm sorry but for everyone commenting, you do realize that when someone backs out while in orbit the other team gets a win on their scorecard? If he was manipulating the game in a way that made a players experience unpleasant like lag switching or an illegal online mod, then yeah, I'd say he deserves all he's getting. But this dude was literally giving people free wins because he didn't want to go against cheap tactics like final round snipers and a warlock with ram and felwinters, which honestly to me is much more cheap than what he was doing. I don't think the problem lies within him leaving matches but instead in the broken perks and combinations people are going into trials with, which honestly is bungies fault.
