All I think at work is when I can next play.
I think I can give up whenever I want.
When I meet someone who plays I always feel a bit sad for them, but am glad I have met another like me.
Edit : following some people not understanding that these forums are supposed to be a bit of fun and taking the whole comment WAY to serious.
Let me clarify.
Yes drugs are bad.
No gaming does not in anyway destroy lives like actual drugs.
Yes I do have a real life that No doesn't suffer because of my gaming.

1 RespuestaJust get witcher 3 and youll never play destiny again
-
Destiny is an addiction lol. My breaks at work spent on these forums. Whatever little free time in the morning I can spare is spent playing. Lol the game is not perfect but it is fun.

I thought I was hooked man... My hunter though he's been hitting the glimmer hard lately, my Titan has been snorting Ruin (he says it gives him wings) and my warlock can't stay away from that radiance... At this point when I log in I feel like I'm babysitting these guys. :-P

I am two weeks clean!!! I got to tell you it feels phenomenal!
-
1 RespuestaIf you can't kick destiny, never ever go near drugs or any chance to get hooked on one.
-
Destiny always demands that i get online, but since ESO, i don't even mind missing out on a day or two.

Destiny is gambling. Gambling is like a drug. The game can hurt your relationship with your wife/kids if you let it, yea, of course. This game demands a TON of time. Casuals like myself who have been converted by this game have a hard time. Like right now for instance. It feels like a second job sitting in the other room. I'm already planning out my evening and thinking what i'm going to "get done" first. Do i do the NF first or the 32 PoE or try and get in on a lucky Skolas CP......Too much like work Then i have to consider if my wife is cool with losing me to video games from the babie's bed time til like 1am. How much sleep will i get? It's a FUKING GAME!!!!!!!! HELP ME!!! hahaha It's not a very FUN game, but my god is it addictive.
-
It's the RNG that makes us addicted. We want more when we get what we want and keep trying when we don't get what we want. I think it's a gambling problem lol
-
1 RespuestaI smoke when I am at work. I don't smoke when I am playing destiny. Destiny is more adictive than cigarettes confirmed.
-
Hell yeah! Destiny more addictive than life lelelel
-
-blam!- yeah it's addictive!!
-
I agree, the game is addicted as hell. I can't seem to find any reason to put this game down and try something else for a difference. This game is so addictive lol.
-
Imagine being addicted to destiny and drugs
-
My boyfriend banned me from bringing my ps4 with me when I stay at his. He feels like I become a different person whilst playing Destiny. I agree and disagree. Destiny is literally the only game I play and I enjoy having one game I'm actually decent at, so I feel like I should be able to have it as my vice. On the other hand, I do tend to get a bit serious whilst playing. Usually when I have a goal in mind (IB, PoE, raids, etc), I like to not be distracted (he likes to make fart noises and kiss me whilst playing), so I can't help but I snap at him. I gave up getting to rank 5 for IB this week, so maybe that means I'm not addicted.
-
Haha I somewhat agree. I do Night shifts and when I get home, instead of going to bed I play destiny for a few hours.

1 RespuestaDidn't Bungie conduct psychological studies or hire psychologists to help create a game that stimulates the addictive parts of the brain? More so than normal of course....
-
9 RespuestasJudging by some of the posts about wives and girlfriends here, I'd submit that video games can in fact destroy lives. I personally know of two marriages that failed because the husbands were too addicted to WoW to give their wives or children any attention. They'd call in sick to participate in a raid. One of them lost his job. Addictions are addictions. There's a reason why game developers like Bungie have paid consultations with behavioral psychologists...and it isn't to figure out the formula to get you to play less.

Man i was jus sitting here at work thinking what im going to work on when i get off this game is a drug caus i know im addicted lol
-
I'm quitting this *addiction* in the fall and I ain't coming back
Yes drugs are bad. No gaming does not in anyway destroy lives like actual drugs. Yes I do have a real life that No doesn't suffer because of my gaming.
Well, you're not entirely wrong, OP. Gaming can destroy lives (not to the extant that drugs can). There are a number of resources devoted to counseling game addicts. No one's ever seen Life 2.0?

Destiny is a HELLUVA drug

1 RespuestaWhoa whoa. Drugs are not bad.
