House of wolves has alienated the pve players and pvp players so drastically and I do not see any common ground between the two anymore
Bungie really did not think this through and you can see all the pve players are already bored with the latest dlc and the rewards for the prison of elders suck so bad - people are threatening to leave or spending a lot less time playing
I for one am looking forward to the new games coming out and 3 weeks ago I would have never considered giving up destiny for another game
Destiny is on its way out and I am afraid there will be very few players around when the next dlc comes out
*********************
Figured I would update - installing and updating a new game as I am typing this
I got a lot enjoyment from Destiny
But
See yall on the other side and gl to all
Might be back someday but goodbye for now my fellow guardians
Live long!! Die well!!

Already got ESO on pre order can't get my mates to do anything on Destiny now, my friends actually playing it dropped from 46 to 16. And they are just doing the pvp as they are bored with the content. Lol 10 year game plan I think it's more like 10 months. Bungie have lost all but the fanboys.

16 RespuestasThis is the first time I come home from work each day and not excited to play destiny. Poe is repetitive and is getting boring. The rewards make it pointless. I Don't open the chest anymore, and any gun you get from skolas is no better than the raid guns we already have. We have already beaten skolas on hard, it's not hard it's just boring now. And trials of Osiris, Great... But I'm more of a Pve player. I've been playing pvp more recently and I am getting better, but bungie do seem to be catering to the the pvp side when you compare rewards so that it's now unbalanced. This was mainly a PVE game but that's now changed. And Bungie are almost forcing us to change with them. So I'm seriously considering putting destiny away and starting something new. I've invested so much time in this game, and made new friends, I don't want to leave but there isn't much motivation to stay anymore.
-
I'm thinking the exact same thing as you. I have been playing since day 1 and before this latest dlc i was super excited. And the first few runs of the prison was really cool and fun i thought. But after discovering all the rewards are complete garbage i just don't feel like doing it anymore. This week i have found myself playing way less then i usually do only did a couple of prisons.
-
I hardly ever played PvP before this DLC and PVP, other than story mission, NF, and Weekly, is the only thing I have played since it released.
-
In HoW we actually always have stuff to do instead of raid on a weekly reset and bounties daily. I think this expansion is the best yet. At the end of the day video games are supposed to be played for fun. If you're not having fun anymore than its probably time for a change anyways.
-
OP is sooooo right! Finally someone gets it!
-
They said the same thing after dark below.. They have literally given you a crap ton of stuff but some of it is such small changes that you haven't noticed

3 RespuestasYour parents screwed up with you.
-
Me too... Not enough actual game...to much multiplayer pvp shit..
-
The high drop rates brought me back to the game, because now I can try lots of new weapons. But I find that I'm getting stuck in a kind of middle ground. I'm not good enough for ToO, so that's out as content. PoE has been good, but not having checkpoints is a huge knock against it. I know what I'm like, and I won't grind at this if I have to re-do it all again just to make a second or third attempt at the boss each week.

8 RespuestasWas there ever any common ground? PvP players just continue to want to barf at whatever PvE is offered, thus making us separate ourselves even more. It has nothing to do with players not liking players, and has everything to do with Bungivision catering to specific crowds where expectations of money flow arent flowing. I own a business and although i may not know a lot about the gaming industry, i know this. A company will target groups for certain sales, much of the budgeting goes towards aiming at these groups to meet goals they see fit to make their product fruitful. PvP players are such a dramatic backbone to a game. A great game needs a competitive atmosphere for it to be successful. In their eyes, PvE is something that is doing just fine. They see on their own screens that plenty of people are still active in this aspect of the game, but PvP players are dropping like flys (at least the better players i know have pretty much quit) and since thats the case, they will continue to go above and beyond for the pvp's until their sales reach a better standard.

You are allowed to play others games. Destiny doesn't need to be playing on your console non-stop for it to be enjoyed

5 RespuestasEditado por CMYoungB: 6/8/2015 3:42:47 PMLol I've been 9-0 10 times and also do 35 PoE on all characters each week. Successful dlc so far. Especially because the trials weapons that you can get in adept can help you in pve a lot and the queenbreakers bow and lord of wolves can help you in pvp. You enjoy playing pve or pvp , and are getting good guns for the other at the same time, which bridges the gap. Pve and pvp players can do everything together in this dlc.
-
7 RespuestasI don't think they screwed up. They've opened more doors for both types of players.
-
4 RespuestasNo 6 man events was a FAIL.

1 RespuestaIm a PvE player and I'm still having a blast. The high level PoE boss battle mechanics are a blast, and they offer a great solo challenge. Haven't tried trials. Every time I play PvP I get raged out, even if I have a good game. I won't even bother with it anymore. But the PvE aspect of this game is really enjoyable to me

6 RespuestasWhy only play half a game? Destiny is both pve and pvp, why only do one or the other? It's like buying a halo or call of duty game and only playing the campaign. That sounds ridiculously stupid. Play the entire game and hate it, but don't just strictly play pve, or strictly pvp and say the game sucks.
-
I agree with you, too much emphasis on PVP which is great for PVP players but this game was supposed to be a cooperative adventure with raids and such, POE doesn't do it for me and PVP never did so I'll be gone tomorrow when ESO comes out I might pop destiny back in to run VOG once in awhile for funsies but as a day one player with no intention of playing PVP (which is extremely unbalanced to boot) this game is done for me it was fun while it lasted though, now all the new players can hit max lvl in 2 days and don't even need to raid or anything. Bungie should've stuck to their original model instead of catering to the whiny PVP players that should be playing COD if they want fast twitch multiplayer.
-
The focus has always been pve. I find the pvp focus refreshing. Endgame rewards have always lies in the pve part, and that was one of the only ways excluding iron banner. Trials of Osiris is the equivalent of the pve endgame. The best loot for a difficult task
-
I've had this game since the third week after initial launch. I've always been behind because this is the first online game I've really played. I had zero established online friends. I did my first vog in January crota in February. Only have done Crota hard maybe 4 times, was a bitch cause I had no tracking rocket launcher. Felt like I was excluded due to level and rng. This dlc I don't want to farm for hours looking for keys even after improving drop rates it's a chore. I'm playing ib and getting better. But I'm reaching the end
-
They did fine. I have no beef with this expansion. The bounties are fun and the PoE presents some challenge. I did not like the Crota bounties at all, they were to restricted where you complete them and they didn't list the restrictions on the bounties.

4 RespuestasI was talking to a couple of my friends about it this weekend. I don't see why it has to be either or with bungie. It is good to see PvP get a truly end game event and despite being painfully average at the crucible I will throw myself at the ToO wall weekly for that armour and if the gods see fit a weapon. But let's not kid ourselves I'm a PvE man. For end game content PoE weapons are comparatively mediocre to trials weapons, hell they're outclassed by some vendor weapons. That is unacceptable. The fact that even the elemental variations of these trash weapons are not guaranteed drops from skolas, after chances are you've invested hours on end in an activity with no checkpoint system is unacceptable. Variks and his mission to get you to 1000 strength, is unacceptable.
-
3 RespuestasReally? I feel bad for you. I've been a PVE player since day one, and I find myself wearing both hats now, PVE and pvp, and I'm loving it. I feel like I have too much to do
-
9 RespuestasI do think it's ridiculous that in order to get elemental primaries (that have absolutely NO use in pvp). You have to go 9-0 in a pvp.
-
Doesnt bug me. Ive been playing splatoon which is a fresh new take on the pvp capture the zone. Its great. Id like to do more PoE just for etheric light, but eh.
-
1 RespuestaNever bought this game to play pvp. Pvp is all this game is now. You take out pve there is no game so why bungie have you forsaken us? The pvp people love what you have done those are also the same elite players that can do the 34,35. If you cant get etheric light from peo 32 or nightfall 100% very soon this game will die. I did love Destiny but know you have lost me.
