I was disappointed in the HoW reef information because [u]everyone[/u] can upgrade to light level 34 and 365 damage guns, [u]only those that play HoW would need this and only they should have it[/u]. Also the reef and all vendors in it should be only HoW players.

No. Etheric Light can only be obtained by HoW players. Not even in Nightfall drops as Bungie can track who has the DLC and give only them etheric light in the drops. Sure everyone will be able to upgrade exotics. But what are exotics without legendaries?

I thought DeeJ said everyone can upgrade, with or without HoW. But it's a slower and less fun process for people without HoW.
