Why does Nova Bomb not damage the user?
I don't have a voidwalker Warlock or have ever used the class. But being on the receiving end of their super more times than I can remember, I can't help but notice that it is a bit unbalanced. Take this for example, if you throw a huge ball of energy capable of taking out everything in it's radius, how does the hurler of such said energy survive? And also, Does it pass through walls and barriers? Sometimes I will be running past a wall and the next i'm dead. From a Nova Bomb thrown in the next room. I know it is meant to be powerful, but the strength of the Nova Bomb is ridiculous. A death from your own bomb may not be the most effective way to balance this, but at least they would think twice before throwing it being that now they can kill themselves with it.

I'm sure you've heard enough of this already... But first of all, Nova Bomb can kill you. Secondly, if you could kill yourself using a super like that, Fist of Havoc should be the first one you're worried about.

It can kill you, if you launch it wrong, and clip something near you, like a wall, ceiling, things like that, kaboom, guardian down I've blown myself up a few times with my own nova bomb, it happens

Might be because the warlock is usually in the AoE, so it would kill you most of the time on small maps. People would then complain about that and either want it off or...make it stronger because it's a guaranteed suicide.

Warlock is actually the only class that can kill itself with its own super on either subclass.

2 RespuestasGiven that you haven't used a voidwalker it's an easy mistake to think this. The truth is that it does significant damage to the user if they throw it into the ground or a wall near themself. Perhaps the person you saw was using an Exotic called Dire Skull of Ahamkara. This makes the user more difficult to kill when using nova bomb. With it equipped, you can literally throw a nova bomb into the ground at your feet an only do enough damage to half your life meter.

I can't tell you how many times I've died from my own nova bomb. If you're low health and you nova bomb something close to you, you will kill yourself. And please don't assume something when you have not tried it.

I have killed myself plenty of times with Nova Bombs. So yes, Void Walkers can get killed by their own Nova Bomb.

3 RespuestasI play almost exclusively void walker these days and I can assure you tard it does hurt me. I can understand you being caught mesmerized by the beautiful purple slug of death coming at you, but get over it. Jump and strafe tard. Jump and strafe.
