The Hawkmoon Drought
I hope I'm not the only one who can't seem to get this gun to drop. I have to vent. I've run nightfalls for what seems like forever and raids too.
First I am a day one player, I was an Alpha Tester, Beta Tester and continue to play a good amount of time each week. I normally don't post crap on the forums, but I'm starting to think I'm cursed. I've received The Last Word x 5, Suros x 3, Gjallarhorn x 4, Patience and Time x 4,, and many many other copies, including multiple copies of armor and still no Hawkmoon. I mean seriously can the gun be this hard to get?

Edit 4: I have approximately 780 hours of time in the game among my three characters.
Edit 5: No Hawkmoon from all three Nightfalls and 1 CE run...
Edit 6: Nothing from the chest in VoG on all 3 characters. Nothing from Ir Yut on my Warlock.

Edit 7: Finished Crota on Hard with my Warlock, no exotic from him. Need to finish it on my Hunter but no invites last night because he's 31, if you want to help hit me up on PSN later tonight. Deelow is my PSN. Also planning on finishing VoG on Hard x 3 tonight. Might run Crota on the Titan if my clan isn't running it this weekend.

After Crota the other day Hawkmoon literally is the last gun I don't have. I'm missing Obsidian Mind, Knucklehead Radar, Hunters Crest of Alpha Lupi and Radiant Dance machines for armor.
Update 9: Nightfall finally paid off. The Drought is over!!!!!!!

2 RespuestasI'm on same boat. I heard that if you have exotic bounties, your drop rate decreases. Not sure if that's true though but it's making we wonder as I currently have a bounty that I haven't started. Maybe I'll delete it and see if it's true.

If you can't find a hard group on your hunter because of level, run normal. Same chance or an exotic on deathsinger and crota. The drought is real... It took me 5 months to tet hawkmoon, then got another 1 the following week. RNGesus was drunk that week.

My friend got his from ir yût 2 weeks ago and I just got mine a few days ago from the nightfall.

1 RespuestaI was in the same boat as you OP until last night. Hawkmoon was the last exotic I needed. Dropped as reward on my 2nd Nightfall run with my Titan. It felt equal parts awesome and terrible, as I was doing the strike with a friend who also needs just the Hawkmoon to have all Exotic weapons. He had already finished all his Nightfall attempts, and was just helping me out knowing that he wasn't getting any reward for it. I hate RNG.
