Atheons Epilogue > Word of Crota
For the void nightfall. Can't touch the dps and crowd control for trash mob
Edit: do the math on damage done per clip and the fact that the epilogue can empty its clip faster and you might be able to pull your heads out of your blam holes
Edit #2: I have 3 Word of Crotas. I just don't think the Crota perk is good. Especially not if you are up against non hive mob.

Edit #4: when it comes to nightfall I am not trying to be "Mr. MLG watch me get two extra bullets back for stacking head shots". I am trying to get my 12 ascendant energy and go cry myself to sleep. Again all of this is my opinion and I applaud those who care to try and stack head shots while eating tracking rounds from the vandals, all while avoiding the boom stick carried by captains.
Edit #5: I got 70 bullets returned directly to my Epilogue Clip by pressing X. Hopefully Bungie doesn't nerf this invisible perk...
Okay let's all agree on one thing at least. If you own Fatebringer, you know that WoC is pretty much little league in comparison. A true raid reward worthy of our efforts in a Hard Raid.

So basically I use word of crota for the 1st part of VoG on the praetorians due to the recent nerf to the epilogue as it simply cannot kill them like it used to... Word of crota>atheon's epilogue

Yes on a nightfall with void burn you might get a couple more kills with ae. But woc is better every other time.

I did one run with each gun on my two hunters. Had way more kills in the AE run, but I'm still getting used to hand cannons (just started using them recently) and the two guys I was with in the WoC run were murdering everything before I could even get there for the most part. So jury is still out for me, I guess.

4 RespuestasIt belongs all to your personal preferences. I for myself like weapons which hit like a truck with EACH bullet. It annoys me if I have to shoot half of a magazine in an enemy to blow him away. I'm a huge fatebringer fan and woc is only a poor shadow of it. But it's a hc. And I'm glad to have a void hc for burn nightfalls.

Close in, yes. Moving around, no. Distance shots, no. Impact on majors, no. Spray and pray, sure. Ammo cap, sure. Totally > ...no.

Any gun that has the elemental damage related to the burn is gonna work great. Atheons does seem to work better in some cases on void burn. The real test is a nightfall with no burns.

I used both. They were both effective. I completed all of my nightfalls with one or the other. To me that's kind of all that matters. Fatebringer is on another level compared to WoC, the perks on WoC just can't compete at all.

Word of Crota > Atheons Epilogue Don't be silly and say it isn't.

Damage per second is the best ruler to judge a weapon. Hands down Word of Crota wins.

I ran the Nightfall yesterday and the AE literally shredded the enemies. I don't have the WoC, so I can't tell, but I can say, the AE does a very good job!

Agreed, I run three back to back, started out using the Word of Crota. Did well enough but Atheons Epilogue is like a chain saw! Hehe

Play how you like, but my WoC got me over 80 kills in the Nightfall while my other two fireteam members used Atheon's Epilogue and had 20+ kills each.
