They have some of the crappiest, unoriginal, and downright painful games. They make games without souls; the only thing good about their games is their graphics but gameplay, story, and functionality are all broken.
Example: Assassin's Creed series
Assassin's Creed never had a good story, the story didn't make any sense at all and is only made interesting because of the historical setting. The gameplay is broken as well, I don't know why people praise it. There is not nearly enough customization or exploration to make it an RPG, and the fighting is not fun enough to make it an action game. The entire game is just following instructions and doing fancy combat moves through quickaction buttons and other boring things like that. Combat boils down to spamming the attack and counter buttons. Functionality is broken too. Multiplayer barely even works. Most of the time you can't even connect to anything. Not to mention the DRM policies in the older games...
Far Cry was slightly better (what else can you expect feeding them millions of dollars with Assassin's Creed?) but still extremely flawed. The characters are inhuman and unrealistic. The only two characters I found memorable in the game are the doctor and the crazy guy in the red tank top (and I forgot their names too). All the other characters (your girlfriend, your friends, your brother, the black guy who saved you in the beginning, or even the final boss) are all boring, inhuman, and undeveloped. The gameplay and skills system is also terribly flawed and most of the skills you don't even use often such as air assassination or ledge takedown. Most of the skills are just upgrades of a few basic skills such as more and more healing with syringes or more and more health. There is nothing creative or interesting. Hunting missions are just going through half an hour tracking and killing a bullet sponge. And like in Assassin's Creed, freeing the watch towers is the most annoying and pointless thing ever to be in a game. And, like Assassin's Creed, the multiplayer is barely functional.

Assassins Creed Brotherhood was amazing. I enjoyed all the games except AC3 mainly cuz Connor was horrible
-
I like the games, so I buy them.
-
Assassin's Creed is hit and miss. AC2 and Brotherhood are the best games of the franchise. As for Far Cry, the series has gotten better with each new game.

4 RespuestasFarCry3...I get to -blam!-ing use a flamethrower on a -blam!-ing bear and dingos. Now stfu and just enjoy what you want. Also FarCry1 was awesome. FarCry3's Vaas is awesome. Oh...also Tom Clancy games still have potential to be pimp. Blacklist looks fun with mercs vs. spies and Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 was awesome with another Rainbow 6 in the making. Neither series is broken. You want a broken game? Play Mindjack...

Pirate Adventures on the high seas, and Rayman Legends, your argument is now invalid
There is not nearly enough customization or exploration to make it an RPG
Because it's not an RPG, it's a historical action-adventure open world game.

No I happen to like the AC series and the story. Also the new splinter cell and watch dogs looks pretty damn cool so not sure why you are hating on ubi

Editado por darthrevan96: 7/30/2013 5:15:46 PMI disagree with everything. I found FC3 to be one of the best FPS games I've ever played. The AC series offers unique gameplay exclusive to the franchise and I find the story (of the ancestors) great. Watch Dogs is bringing some unique everything to the table, no other game like that. The only game I don't care for is The Division. That does look like some standard Cover TPS in terms of Gameplay imo. Ubisoft doesn't make bad games. I can't attest for their business decisions and their Wii U support or lack thereof but the games are good. A world without them would suck. They make up a large chunk of the best games on the Market, especially this year. Seeing as I'm dropping support for EA 100% for any of these two reasons, if prices rise as suggested, or they don't have games on Wii U (which I believe is actually more about Nintendo's Anti-DRM/Microtransaction policies, I need Ubi Games.

"Ubisoft is Legendary" Zoid: /all gg wp, report this feed team
-
And you failed to mention Tom Clancy games... which i'll admit are a hit or miss brand.
-
Well their recently releases haven't had me sold on anything. I wish they had more innovative franchises instead of same 3-4 they pop out each year. Raymond could of been promising if ubisoft tool advantage of the wii u timed exclusive, but they didn't.
BOO HOO!!! I have an opinion that something is bad and it's getting liked by other people!
Go cry.
-
I like the company except for the online pass crap.
-
No. Ubi are one of the best game devs out there.
-
Assassins creeds has gone down hill since 2, the only redeeming quality was Ezio was a like able character. However, BLOOD DRAGON is the most fun I've had with a game in a while. I laughed from start to finish (probably because I've seen all the michael biehn movies it was based off of)
-
But man the experience! Look at how many feelings you would miss out if they didn't make these games. And it motivated you to go so far as to make a post some/most will disagree with! Frustration boredom distraction motivation their games gave you all that. I say well done. To all involved. Myself included for bringing this to your attention. -Blam!- I'm good.
-
Far cry 3 was supposed to be unrealistic, they was a quote from a game developer saying nobody understood the actual story and that they was no way one man could do all that, it's all in his mind.
-
Yeah but it has an amazing map editor. What else do you need?
-
Nah, still getting Assassin's Creed IV, Watch Dogs, and The Division.
-
Eh. Assassin's Creed peaked at 2 and went downhill from there. Farcry 3 on the other hand was an amazing game and Ubisoft are currently developing/publishing two of my most anticipated games right now: Watch_Dogs and The Division. So I'm gonna keep feeding them.
-
They use online passes, so I hate them.
-
I really like Ubisoft games..
-
That was a pretty nice opinion you got there OP, I for one enjoyed Farcry 3 more then most of the games I've played recently
