Reprising Old Dungeons
We are not exactly in a content lull as of now. But when the time arises, these are great opportunities to reinvigorate the playerbase-
[i]Pit of Heresy, Prophecy & Shattered Throne[/i] would all be served well to gain [i]Master[/i] [b]Difficulties[/b]. [i]Pit[/i] weapons still do not have an [b]Origin Perk[/b]. Would love to see these reprised and updated with one!
Likewise, [b]Wishender[/b] ([i]Shattered Throne[/i]) and [b]Xenophage[/b] ([i]Pit[/i]) still do not have [i]Catalysts[/i].
While I get most players already own these respective [b]DLCs[/b], this sort of update brings back players who do [i]not[/i] own the current expansion in order to play formerly owned content. Just a thought.

I’d prefer they work on new stuff than invest too much into old. Bring back this stuff for special events like Pantheon. We may not be in a content lull rn, but we are sure not flush with content either. Act 1’s content is already burned up & Act 2 & 3 don’t seem to be packing much heat other than the Nine event. Which is exactly where I’d like them to revamp dungeon and raid encounters.

3 RespuestasI would love to see catalysts for Wish-ender and Xenophage. One problem I have with the dungeons getting Master difficulties is that, no one does Master. It's one of the reasons why the game has gotten worse with the addition of minus power/power disabled. People complained and wanted the game to get harder while ignoring the harder versions of dungeons/raids, Bungie makes the game harder as a whole by putting everyone at disadvantage when Final Shape released, Final Shape sells less than Lightfall and we get a lower player count than Curse of Osiris as a result.

Older players are not coming back to play those mechanically wack dungeons lol The loot doesn't even look cool in them. A Duality dungeon refresh is 100% next.

1 RespuestaMore disappointing for a season called Heresy that they didn't bother to at least update "The Pit of Heresy" dungeon loot If they ever get rework they need to add new loot and armor to both since they are the only dungeons using the same weapons and armor that drop normally from their dlc destination making the loot undesirable.

Pit is probably the next endgame thing to get a spotlight. New armor set, tankier non-steamrollable enemies, slightly harder mechanics, updated weapon pool. It’s an easy layup for them. Shattered Throne would need a massive overhaul. Prophecy is super easy and is likely going to get a master mode if the new seasonal thing goes well.

6 RespuestasShattered throne needs new loot, period, not a refresh. Entirely new weapons. Pit's loot would need a major stat bump with a perk refresh. Prophecy is part of the Nine event and is getting essentially a contest mode, so that's basically already happening. Wishender doesn't need anything. Still goated. Xeno could use something though.

1 RespuestaLooks like most people agree. It's not too much to ask, weapon origin traits would be nice, and the "something worth chasing" needs to be hashed out. Maybe completing it drops a special shader you can't purchase on master difficulty. Or armor ornaments. They were able to allow you to upgrade gear to majestic before, so why not for dungeons? Something different with movement. My 2 cents

I’m all for it but dungeons DESPERATELY need something, ANYTHING, in place for meaningful targeting and bad luck protection. The dungeon weapon chase is EASILY the worst in the game, no competition. They’ve become the least replayed thing among my clan/friends second only to gambit at this point for that reason. Throne and Pit need their own weapons too.

3 RespuestasI feel like throne could have fully taken versions of the dreaming city armor and weapons, maybe with some of the weird spikes that high rank taken have Pit on the other hand probably needs completely new stuff. Full red hive armor would be awesome, but the only unique weapon there is the pulse rifle. Maybe they could make new red hive weapons?

The second wishender gets a catalyst, the weapon gets nerfed. It's strong enough in its current state.

I would suspect a dungeon rotator in their new approach coming in episode 3. With the three tier system setup. Of which means what you are asking for is already kind of in play.
