[i]You dodge the initial glob of liquid, but some of it splashes on you as it hits the ground.[/i]
(17 + 2 DEX = Advanced Success)
[i]You directly hit the tip of the top of the mushroom while also hitting the spider’s eye. It writhes and screeches, leaving it wide open.[/i]

(10 + 2 DEX = Success) [i]You throw the sidearm fast enough to get the spider’s attention.[/i] (8 + 1 INT = Success) [i]You manage to cut the fabric carefully enough to remove the liquid and from cutting yourself.[/i]

Rogue fires at the web while the creature is distracted.

(7 + 2 DEX = Success) [i]You hit the web, severing it from the spider and causing it to fall onto the ground. It lands on its feet, but seems to be trying to process what happened.[/i]

Rogue throws Eranost at it, preparing to fire if the axe misses.

(16 + 2 DEX = Advanced Success) [i]You throw it directly towards a vital spot.[/i] (6 + 2 STR = Success) [i]Eranost tears open the spiders body and it begins spewing the same liquid that it shot at you.[/i]

Rogue attempts to dodge the substance again.

(2 + 2 DEX = Failure) [i]The liquid spews too fast and too far to dodge. After a moment, the liquid stops and the spider dies.[/i]

Rogue hastily takes off his jacket and throws it into a portal, then takes out a different jacket and dons it. He then cuts off other sections of fabric with the substance on them.

(14 + 1 INT = Success) [i]Once again, you carefully remove the cloth and the liquid. The cave is quiet and the red light still glows.[/i] [b]Unity:[/b] “I don’t suggest going in there any deeper. What you can do is get one of those mushrooms. Alignment says he needs to study them.”

Rogue uproots a mushroom.

[i]You pluck a mushroom from the cave. The second you, every other mushroom glows more intensely. It becomes harder and harder to breath.[/i] [b]Unity:[/b] “Get out of there!”

Rogue runs for his life.

[i]You run to the entrance of the cave, only to be greeted by a horde of beasts. It becomes even harder to breath.[/i] [b]Unity:[/b] “I’m pulling you out!” [i]Unity appears by your side and grabs your shoulder. The area around you fades into another where Alignment stands.[/i] [b]Alignment:[/b] “Hey, bud. What did you see?”

Rogue holds up the mushroom. "These. They seem to be symbiotes, maybe parasites. They were attached to some of the creatures I found."

[b]Alignment:[/b] “So I’ve heard. With this mature sample, though, I’ll be able to learn a bit more about what’s going on. Anything else?”

"One creature I encountered, which seemed to be a giant arachnid, spat a strange black substance. When I killed it, it bled the same substance."

[b]Alignment:[/b] “It was infected with one of those mushrooms, right? Do you have a sample I could use?”

[spoiler]Would it be allowed for me to just say that somehow I didn't fully cut off some of the fabric?[/spoiler]

[spoiler]You could just bring the jacket you threw in a portal back, can you?[/spoiler]

[spoiler]OH right[/spoiler] Rogue opens a portal and carefully brings out his jacket. "I'll need the jacket back, though. It's my favorite."

[b]Alignment:[/b] “I’ll have to borrow it for a little while. I hope that’s okay with you. I’ll give it back once I see you next Study Hall. Anything else you got? Something you picked off the ground, perhaps?”
