"Balance" for Hunters

For starters, let's just take an in-depth look at the one eyed mask, shall we? So, at it's core, the mask has 3 functions in one; tracking through walls, damage boost, overshield. Now, let's look at a Hunter helmet exotic that recently got "balanced", that bring Wormhusk. Now at ITS core, Wormhusk accomplishes one task, heal the player once they dodge... that's it. Now I get that the whole "Bungie hates Hunters" stigma is a bit of a meme, but in all honesty, I wouldn't put it past them, no offense but Hunters are severly lacking in the power department. Now the one argument EVERYONE makes is that "Hunters are too powerful because they have a panic super" and in all honesty, as a Hunter main, sure, it sucks being panic supered, but we've all been there. Not to mention EVERY class has a panic super now, but do you know what not every class DOES have? A OHK ability besides their super, actually one class in particular doesn't have this ability, Hunters. So might I ask why? Why is it so hard to simply up our abilities? Look at throwing knives, the most piss poor melee ability in Destiny for PVP where even a headshot explosive knife doesn't break shields. So again I ask, why? Why can't Hunters have an exotic like the one eyed mask? Why don't Hunters have a OHK ability like Warlocks and Titans? Why are Hunters the most hated and bashed on? Never have I seen such disposition towards a class since the sunbreaker for Titans was introduced in TTK, and I just want to know why. So, I am going to ask YOU, I want YOUR response, the person reading this. I don't care if you hate Hunters or love them, I just want an answer. So far from the comments I have concluded this: - Hunters are too fast and agile for other classes to keep up - Everyone plays Hunter therefore it's the most powerful - Hunters should be the only class lacking a OHK - Dodge is too strong (Keep in mind, I am asking for an actual response, my post is not satire as I wish for an actual answer)

  • -unpredictable movement and very quick change of vertical direction -dodge isn't OP but they people saying it's bad aren't using it well -Stompies are extremely powerful and lend themselves very well to this meta -Blade Barrage and Nova Warp are in a tier of their own when it comes to Supers, they're both mind-numbingly easy to use with consistent 9/10 results -seems that more players want to be an edgy loner than a someone who hasn't left the library for 27 years or a brick that can travel horizontally at Mach 4 -every class has its one-tricks and players with a deluded idea of what balance is, it just appears that more "Huntards", as they can be called, have found their way into the Forums In all seriousness, though, the common request is that Tripmines and/or Throwing Knives become OHKOs and I don't think either should get that status. Mostly because they'd apply to the entire subclass, not just one branch of it. Compared to the two existing OHKOs, Tripmine would beat Handheld Supernova due to not being limited to short range or spotty hit detection, and Throwing Knives wouldn't require the user to be in any danger to reap the rewards - plus on two branches the knives could be easily chained without the use of an Exotic. Anyway, just my ramblings and opinions that will, and should, in all likelihood be ignored.
