EDIT: well since so many of you replied, I think I should share my plan: -I live in a two story house, destroy the stairs to the second floor and put a ladder out my window - I live in the country so I should be OK from large groups of zombies (Herds) for the first month or so, so that's when I'll build up my defenses while I have some of my friends gather food, water, weapons, ammo, medicine and anything we may need - in the first year I hope to be able to grow some crops before winter(and preserving them and find a way to purify water, as well as increasing the amount of land I've walled off (I have a huge forest near me so I can chop down trees and make decent boards for the wall, I also have enough nails where if I melted them down I could build a shed out of the metal -other long term goals I have are to get a helicopter/plane and learn to fly (one large enough to carry my entire group [no man left behind]) and acquire enough fire power to take out any other faction in order to survive.
