Just curious, but those who played ToO a lot during year 1, is it even worth it to go flawless in yr2? It seems like the reviewers on youtube are giving the impression the ToO weapons lack luster and we can get similar, if not better, non-raid weapons outside of ToO

  • The thing about Y1 was that when you went flawless you pulled an elemental primary. Aside from the numbers roll, there's little variation from what you'll pull from the chest.

  • It's all about the light. Flawless gets you 311+ gear even if for infusion, therefore it is worth it to try.

  • I can see from that pov. I have no interest in ToO or raids, so tbh I don't need max light level. If all I do it IB, pve, and regular pvp, 297 character light is sufficient

  • they have potential to have good rolls but its all down to rng, once you get passed 310 light with the raid the only viable reward that may improve your gear is the primary weapon for going flawless. AR is max RoF wich is shit in general and infusion material for most who go flawless handcannon has good rolls but is high RoF like word of crota and low impact, wich isnt terrible but it only has 8 shots. pulse is good because pulses in general are the meta currently and because of that its not really special as you can roll better things like nirwens mercy or hawksaw that have more potential for good rolls. scoutrifle is good if you can land consistant headshots but thats pretty hard to pull off with its high RoF/Full auto and lacks the stability unless you roll zen moment but that only works at full power after youve hit the target 7 times and its a 5 shot kill with all headshots, theres better options for scouts imo id say the y1 flawless weapons were better than y2 but the problem with y1 was that they had locked perkrolls, only the element was different whereas every other primary during that period could be rerolled to be better than the trials weapons

  • Ah. I see that, if the perks could affect it's value. In your opinion, if the perks you can get on ToO weapons are the same perks you can get from other guns of similar type, does ToO weapons have enough of a difference from other weapons to make it worth the effort though? If the perks are potentially the same, it's the core gun that's the difference, especially without an element on ToO now.

    the core guns arent special in any way max rof ARs have always been shit, even more so in the current meta handcannons got nerfed too hard for this trials one to be viable most scout rifles you can buy from vendors are imo better than the one from trials trials pulse isnt anything special, literally any other pulserifle in the game will do the same as this one the only difference is that they can roll at 320 when you get them, other than that theyre average at best so no, its not really worth it if you struggle going flawless

  • yeah they aren't the best the pulse is 32 damage to the head unless you headseaker them, the pistol shoots faster than the jewel did but the jewel was way better in my opinion, sniper has good rolls but is not a good sniper for trials, its a good snipe for 6v6 but no rez game.

  • in 3v1 situations i like to be able to trap the other team by downing one of them and making sure if they are picked up i can quickly put him back down as well as the person rezing the downed enemy. and when you help people through trials its more like 2v3 the entire time so i can't rely on a team push as much as most people can.
