Fellow Husk of the Pit farmers - I suspect there may be a conditional aspect to this gun's drop chance.

Hello everyone. I, like everyone else, have just started to grind for a Husk of the Pit. I started on monday and spent about 10 hours grinding out ~400 kills, with no Husk drop. I looked around at the forums, particularly threads from the beginning of TDB, and it seems like the rates that we are seeing do not match those initial drop rates in the slightest. Bungie has repeatedly confirmed that the item still drops, but many of us are losing hope. I would guess, however, that Bungie's confirmation is accurate. However, if they pulled that answer from a simple search of 'items dropped' over the past few weeks, it's entirely possible that there are a couple of instances of it dropping under very specific conditions that we aren't aware of (hence the 2000 kills with no drop that people are seeing). I have a couple of ideas as to what this might be -The husk drops off of kills that count towards the Blade of Crota Eris bounty. Many of the posts that I have seen confirming this drop say that the gun was obtained while doing the Eris bounty. Now, obviously it could be that this was simply the only time that people were killing blades, but it is noteworthy to say the least. Suggested Test Method: Grab the bounty, but abandon it after getting 2/3 of the kills, go back to the tower, grab it again, rinse and repeat (Yeah, this is a pain in the ass) -The Husk drops for players of a certain level, and not for level 34s. I've seen reports of very low level players getting the husk (Edit: apparently, low level guardians can collect the eris bounties, which lends credence to that theory), but I don't know about this one. I'd say about half of my kills were done at level 31/32. Test Method: Equip low level gear - The husk's drop rate is increased when there are other players around. Many of the confirmed drops happened while other players were involved in some way. Now, we do have some reports of it dropping while solo (I even saw a video of this), so I don't know about this one. In any case, I don't know how the Husk of the Pit suddenly became "very, very rare" once HoW dropped. Even with the removal of blades of crota from the world at large, People who got it before HoW were still at around ~100 kills when they got it. Anybody have any other ideas? If you'd like to test, please do by all means. I'm at work right now but certainly want to test when I get home. Hopefully soon we can have ONE of the people who are actively farming this come back and report that they have gotten it. For now, it really seems like not a single person who is actively working towards it has achieved that goal.
