Xur's Sparrow Trails
Are they worth it?
Got 76 coins, 2 weeklys yet to do this week, and nothing to buy....*sigh*

Time breaker is too slow and requires you to OD to get up to the speeds of the Xûr drives, minus a lot of the turning power and minus the E-brake. It's honestly just personal preference, as either are equally prestigious (unless you're the kind of bad-ass who has one of those sexy neon crucible sparrows, in which case those are way cooler looking.)

Thanks again for all the input everyone. I"ve a nice green trail now...lots of fun driving it around. Nice to be able to still do something new in a game I've been playing for 2 months..

4 RepliesTimebreaker is king of sparrows. But im sure you could pull off some of these moves with a Xur'ed out Sparrow.

1 ReplyThey upgrade rare sparrows to legendary, which gives them more speed and durability. I wouldn't buy them over a good weapon or armor, but if you have a bunch of coins and nothing to spend them on, may as well. I did that last week.

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I actually fell asleep reading this thread while on my tab last night lol. Might as well go grab on for the fun of it. I had no idea you could do tricks and stuff...looks like a blast to try. And with the possible legendary one coming out next week for the DLC buyers, a couple extra sparrows will be fun to have.

32 Replieswell you would need a rare sparrow as well which cost 175 marks in rank 3 crucible or vanguard in addition to the thing bought at Xur. I did this once and next raid i did in hard i got the legendary raid sparrow. What a waste of money and marks. I say you should try raiding for a sparrow since you dont have any raid armor and hit two birds with one stone.

If you don't have/don't prefer the timebreaker it is worth it. I personally have 3 legendary trail sparrows but I use the timebreaker.

Are they worth it?! Are you kidding me?! I wish I would have gotten mine sooner!!! Green baby, matches the gun and and my dress! Fast man... FAST! We have races (best tracks ATM are through the tube circle on the moon and after Tank kill against Val Tak'ur'ark'ark'arc'k).

I got the green drive from one of Xur's appearance, i have I'm still using it even though i got timebreaker. I did not know that the void drive is faster than timebreaker (without holding both buttons to speed up and explode)

Depends. Even though I have the Timebreaker, I wanted the Red and Blue Crucible sparrow to upgrade with the Red drive, so that the contrail would be bright red, and the colors would match my characters skin, hair and armor. (Awoken with red hair and the Frostfire shader)

The void drive looks like a wannabe timebreaker lol, the emerald one is cool though

I bought them for both charakters, damn coins and vanguard marks i have more i can spend. It looks cool and its higher speed is useful for patrols, farming materials etc.

Make them look kinda cool but they still dont sound like the time breaker sparrow from the raid.

6 RepliesI have a legendary sparrow on all 3 characters with red, void (purple), and blue colored trails. Looks cool I guess lol worth it if you have the coins to waste.

6 RepliesIf you got nothin to buy, i say why not. Thats what i did this week since i have everything he's sellin. Already had the green one for my Hunter's sparrow, bought the purple today for my Titan's sparrow, and i'll eventually get the red one for my Warlock's sparrow. They dont do much more for speed, but its pretty to look at, lol.

1 ReplySad thing is rare sparrows and xurs speed boosts are the only thing I had left to buy.... Nothing I can use my vanguard marks on (have enough weapons to outfit a small army, shards and energy a plenty, and don't need any armor) so I bought all 3 toons rare sparrows. Same for coins, I either have what he is selling or don't want / need it so I bought 3 upgrade kits for the sparrows. Was pretty satisfying having my lvl 16 hunter scoot around on a legendary sparrow.
