What does "Cheese" mean?
I'm on destinylfg.net, and everyone is saying "I can cheese" or "looking for cheesers."
What the cuss are they talking about?

I'm with you OP what the hell does cheese mean? Ask 10 people and get 10 different answers! Some say it is the easy way out, it is an easy weapon to use, cheating, bad luck etc etc. I don't think anyone knows what they even mean by cheese. You see it everywhere misused, IDK... I don't think anyone knows to be honest.. I don't!!

When ur playing basketball and are about to dunk but the shotclock runs out.... "SHOT...CLOCK....CHEESE!!!" If I drop my phone on the ground "That's some cheese" It kinda means bullshit. Let's cheese atheon off the edge

1 ReplyIt's a term that generally means "beat something the cheap way." When they say they are "cheesing" atheon, they use the AoE grenades/ults on a Warlock to abuse Atheon's AoE dodging mechanic. The boss is programmed to avoid damage over time grenades by walking out of them, so multiple players make a field of DoT grenades that surround Atheon when his back is to a cliff. Because of the programming that says "get out of the grenade damage" he walks in the only direction that there is no damage... off the cliff to his death.

Cheese is basically another word for cheap. Cheese has been used by gamers for generations. I have using that term for as long as I could remember. When you cheese something or when something is cheese it usually means it is the easiest thing to use or easiest thing to do.

Ok. I'll bite. A "cheese" is a location or strategy where you can easily defeat a boss with little to no effort. E.g. Pushing Atheon off the map or using the sniper platforms to hide from the Templar. Sometimes considered an exploit by some and a tactic by others.

They are looking for this guy. He was spotted streaking past the moon on his way to one of the dlc planets Srsly though, "cheesing" is the puss way of saying "cheating"... they are looking for people who can use a game exploit to defeat Atheon because they haven't figured out how to beat him via strategy. It's being patched on Tuesday, so you might as well learn the encounter the real way. -
do the easy way, like sniping from start platform for oracle or pushing templar and atheon off the edge
