Easiest ways to farm strange coins and motes of light?
So what do you guys think? Easiest ways to farm strange coins and motes of light?

Level 28 PoE hands down your grinding everything all at once and then some because on top of the strange coin and motes you get,if you go in PoE with bounties,you have a chance to get at least one strange coin from that and motes,and more blues which have chances of turning into strange coin or motes.

I've heard that lvl 28 PoE is great for farming strange coins,not so sure about motes though.

3 RepliesNow that Taken King is out its really easy. Just do bounties. Bounties usually give you around 3 motes. Also every time you rank something up, (faction, cryptarch, vanguard etc.) you get five of each plus the packages. [quote]So what do you guys think? 1 ReplyMmm... there are several, but none stupid easy. What most people on here will probably tell you is to make 3 of the same character. Level all 3 up to 20. Use each one to do the weekly on the hardest difficulty you can stomach and when done collect coins, then put armor in your vault and load up your next dude. For every tier of difficulty you increase the weekly, you get 3 more coins. So if you could do the level 28, you get 9 when you finish. That would be 27 over 3 chars. I don't have the time or patience for this as I'm pretty casual. So I will say that in addition to doing the weekly, do at least one Event a day. You get a strange coin in the mail if you get gold tier in the Event. But only once, once a day. That said you should be doing the daily at least one level higher than default to get Ascendent Materials, and if you can bump it up again, you can get x2. Other coins is just luck. Perhaps a strike playlist can net you a few blue engrams. That's a crapshoot though. For motes.. I have no solid way to guarentee those that I'm aware of. Its blue engram chances, but there isn't a lot of uses for these anyway, so I don't fret about them presonally. Good luck!

for every bit of expierence you gain u would get a level instead u get now a mote of lite so just patrol alot and get lots of xp as if u were trying to rank up again... its kinda quick and guarentee too and eris mission where u defeat the fallen in night fall or st

Edited by SM1THY1: 1/17/2015 8:23:36 PMive tested a new way and its to make a new guy do the prologue mission to get to the tower then get a friend to invite u to a public event do the public event then go back to the tower to get the daily reward usually its a strange coin then put it in ur bank usually about 20 minutes each time

The closest thing you can get to "farming" strange coins at least is having 3 characters capable of doing the lv 28 weekly's... That's all there really is mate...
