which is better? Destiny or Skyrim?
I would like to see y'all's thoughts on which game is better

What do you mean which is better? Both are very different games, what type of game do you like to play? Skyrim is a fantasy open world RPG in the Elder Scrolls universe while Destiny is a sci-fi fantasy first person shooter with some RPG elements and online play.

Destiny. All the way. Skyrim was good, but the modding got out of hand fast. And I HATE modding. Vanilla all the way bitches. Plus, I spent way too many hours on that game. Never again...

Skyrim by leaps and bounds. If Bungie fixes the PvP then it would be a more even race. PvP needs major work done to be enjoyable. Just my opinion.

My Skyrim perma death runs are pretty fun, so I'll be playing them for a long time. Destiny is great, and will be great for a while. It should hold my interest for atleast 100 hours.

1 ReplyFirst off, they are not comparable. TES have always been epic standalone single player games (except TES: Online... but we won't talk about that). Destiny is a shared world, always online game, with competitive PvP multilayer. But if you're just looking for which game I enjoyed more, at this point my answer is Skyrim. I can't even tell you have much of my gaming time consisted of questing in TES games over the years.

Too different. Skyrim is swords. Destiny is guns amd explosions. Cant accurately compare. But skyrim is phenomenal

Skyrim and destiny are so different, its hard to compare them. Which will I play longer? Definitely skyrim. Which one has better combat? Destiny, though both are equally repetitive. Destiny has multiplayer, skyrim does not. Better story? Skyrim, due to the fact that there are just so many smaller stories rather than one big one, like destiny.

3 RepliesHaven't picked up my Destiny copy yet, so I can't say for sure. I only played the Beta so far... But from what I've heard about the full game of Destiny, Skyrim wins. And Skyrim really isn't that great a game. But, Skyrim and Destiny are both different games. Skyrim is an open-world RPG. You can loot anything you see, slay dragons, have a family, build a house, become a vampire, etc. Skyrim isn't a very deep as an RPG though, it's world and characters can seem bland, and leveling is dumbed down. But Skyrim does that open world, become whatever you want, loot whatever you see, thing. And it does it very well. Destiny on the other hand... I've heard nothing but dissapointment. Now, Destiny isn't an RPG. It has RPG elements yes, but it's not a true RPG. You level up and unlock new skills, but you can change them at anytime and they don't go into far detail Neither is Destiny an MMO. Destiny is an FPS. I'll admit, Destiny boils down to another cod clone or another Halo. It only borrows elements from other genres to seem unique, in a sense. But does Destiny do what it's trying to do well? From what I've heard, no. [spoiler]/⊙\[/spoiler]

Kind of two different things... RPG with a shared world shooter. Closer would be to compare Mass Effect and Destiny. The only reason that people are lambasting Destiny is because some gits have lied to them and told them it's an MMO when it isn't.

considering the game is being lambasted everywhere atm it's no competition to skyrim at all.
