There's just something about this that seems the best fit. Exos just seem buff as hell overall and tough as nails, giving them the Titan image. Awoken are kind of mystical alien creatures with glowing veins, making warlock the obvious choice for them. And humans seem the best fit for hunter just cause, don't really know why, but they do.
What do you guys think?

Human Titan (just because) Exo Hunter (robot mercenaries like Mass Effect's Geth) Awoken Warlock (mystical looking)

2 RepliesEdited by NeoZephyr: 8/8/2014 4:12:53 PMMy thinking exactly! This is what I did in the beta, and I'll be doing it in the full game as well. The size and brute strength of the Titans fall in line with the Exo profile. Titans built the wall - it's easy to imagine them being an army of tireless machines. The individualism and self-reliance of the Hunters matches some of the strongest traits of Humanity. It's easy to imagine the explorer/cowboy/frontiersman/survivalist/daredevil archetype as human. Then the studied, calculating nature of the Warlocks, as well as their intimate link with the Traveler's secrets and power ("space magic"), seems to fall in line with an exotic, mysterious race like the Awoken. It's easy to believe that a race with murky, clouded origins is the one that most understands the Traveler and its power. I'll primarily play as a warlock (probably 90% of the time). How about you?

I told this to all my friends I'm like "they just...fit!"
-
I agree but an exo in a hunters cloak just looks so badass
-
1 ReplyI had an Exo Hunter. Human Female Titan. and a Male Awoken Warlock
-
And yet I will be an exo warlock and awoken hunter. Don't much care for bland boring humans. And Exos and Warlocks are the coolest options Destiny has offered so far.. So that's my main.
-
I prefer having exos be the hunter and humans being the titans.
-
Yes, this was my logic. Hardy Exos, Wise Awoken, Adaptive Humans.
-
Lore wise it makes the most sense.
-
Exo-Lock. Red eyes. Dark metal. Win.
-
That is exactly what I did, though I started Warlock, then Hunter then Titan. But those races with those classes.
-
I had a human hunter Exo warlock and awoken titan
-
I had an awoken hunter, exo warlock and exo titan in the beta. I may change to either exo or human hunter at release because I don't like the awokens emotes.
-
2 RepliesAgreed. Exos would have no need for the Hunter's gas mask helmets. Also, Awoken seem too frou frou and not dirty enough to be Hunters. Human is the only thing that fits for Hunters.
-
O.P. knows what's up. Exact same for me, each character I made. ( deleted a few)
-
Personally, I wasn't very taken by the Awoken. I had a Human lock, Exo titan, and Human hunter (awoken hunter on my alt acct while i was centipeded). I also had an awoken female character. I liked the females dance, but other than that, I'd rather have a human female. I think I'll have all human characters, except MAYBE an Exo titan again... but I'm not sure. I just like how customizable the Exo's faces are.
-
According to the vanguards, the warlock is a human, the hunter is an exp and the titan is an awoken. But I go the same as the OP Human Hunter, Awoken Warlock, Exo Titan
-
Edited by Pharmer_Brand: 8/8/2014 5:02:52 PMI am doing an awoken hunter, an exo warlock, and either a human or exo Titan (because I like the way exos look)
-
Ill be making an awoken hunter and a human titan.... If i do make a lock it will be my only male and an exo
-
I was awoken for all cept Titan. I was human
-
I made my titan a human, but I can understand your logic.
-
That's my exact set up
-
I wish you could view your guardian from here.. and not just the suit of armor like on the app but the face and everything.
-
Weird, that's exactly how I made up my characters and will do so again after release. As you said, just seems to fit.
-
My exact set up, with the same rationale that I had. Glad to see someone else thinks this way.

1 ReplyThis is clearly the most common set up. Lots of people going with this. I'm different however, I only made humans in the beta (except to fill the grimoire) and in the final game I'll only be making human characters. It just feels more natural and is my preferred race to fit my character development. The lore of the other two races doesn't particularly interest me: Exos made by humans, long-forgotten exactly why, and very complex. (The whole machine aspect isn't my thing). Awoken are descendants of humans that tried to escape the darkness and the collapse, and some disaster happened that altered them. Now most live in the reef, apart from humanity and disinterested. Whereas some have returned to fight for humanity. (The different visuals and the backstory aren't interesting to me) So the human struggle for survival is most relevant with a human character. Plus, I always like to reimagine myself with characters I create.
