How do I find out what my WPA2 pass phrase is for my router?

I accidently disconnected my xbox 360 from my router and now it is asking for my WPA2 pass phrase and I entered the password to the router correctly but it says it is not valid if i log into my router where do i need to go to find out the WPA2 pass phrase? I have a netgear WNR2000v2 router if that helps.

 • This is why you should write the password down and store it somewhere safe when setting up your router for the first time.

 • WPA2 password =/= Router Login Password. The WPA2 password is needed when trying to connect a wireless device to the router and can be changed in the router settings. Most of the time what is printed on the underside of the router is the router login user name and password to access the router settings where you can change things like the WPA2 password and many other things.(Atleast that's the only info that is printed on my Netgear Router) Anyways, to change/find out your password OP (assuming your Netgear Router is similar to mine). Follow these instructions: 1.Go to this website.(That's Netgear's official router setting page) 2.Type in your Router User Name and Password, which is usually found on the underside of your router (It will be probably be something along the lines of "admin" and "password") 3.On the sidebar find "Setup" and go to Wireless Settings. 4.At the bottom of the page there should be your WPA2 Password or "passphrase"(You can either change it or note it down somewhere.) Note that if you decide to change your password then you may need to re-enter your new password for every wireless device connected to the router. Sorry if bump; this took a while to type up. Hope I helped ;)

 • Type your DNS into your address bar and look for it.

 • A lot of routers have a sticker on the underside with the code on it. You can also find it by typing your IP address into your address bar, at least with my ISP.

 • Well unless you changed it, it is most likely printed on the underside of the router itself.

 • Mines on the back of it.
