Cortana's first words were
"When the game is over, the king and pawn go into the same box".
I was wondering if anyone knew the exact translation into Italian as I have typed it into various translation sites and got back different results.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
Posted by: Im SteelAssassn I haven't taken Italian for about a year, but the way I always have translated it is: "Quando il gioco è finito, il re e il pedone vanno nella stessa scatolo." If I am incorrect, I'd be glad to hear what I've done wrong. I would like to hear the differences between "il pedone" and "la pedina," though.
Pedina=Pawn in chess Pedone=Pedestrian

Andare is infinitive. Vanno indicative example Andare al cinema - to go to the cinema Loro vanno al cinema -they go to the cinema

Cool thanks very much. Always better to get a locals opinion than a students. Can I just ask what is the difference between vanno and andare? Is it how its used depending on the sentance or how you say it? Do they mean the same thing? Thanks LiquidusClone

It is "Quando il gioco e finito, il re e pedone andare nella stessa scatola" I speak full Italian you Mofo's. There are alot of different dialects in different parts of Italy, there is no "Italian" language, it depends on which part you are from.

Quando il gioco è finito (also chiuso),il re e la pedina vanno (also entrano) nella stessa scatola
