Dear Bungie Dev Team, With the recent announcement of the Monument of Triumph update on June 9th, you stated that you want Destiny 2 to be a "welcoming place for players to return to" as the live-service era concludes. If you truly want to honor that promise and welcome back all Guardians, there is one effortless change you need to make before archiving the game: Enable BattlEye support for Proton/Linux so we can finally play Destiny 2 natively on Steam Deck without risking a ban. For years, the community has been asking for this, and the technical excuse is officially gone. As Valve explicitly stated in their Steamworks documentation regarding BattlEye on Proton: "All developers need to do is contact the BattlEye team to request that it be enabled for their game. It is literally a single request to BattlEye. Other massive titles did it years ago with a single click.
